It had been about two weeks since I been at the apartment and, during that time, I stayed with Nicole. For some reason, she was more than happy to have me in her rather large apartment. She even offered for Loraina to come over and I brought her with me a couple of times, but she wanted to be with her aunties so bad. One thing I can't do is keep her from the ladies. She loves them way too much.

The house just didn't feel like home in that moment. I wanted time to clear my head while thoughts of Heath kept crawling back in my mind. They couldn't know that I was thinking about him again or they would get on their soapbox again. The ladies didn't understand how much danger they've put us all in, especially Loraina. With Heath's family being on our side, we had so much and we were protected. Once they realized that Heath was in jail, they instantly thought I was to blame and cut me off.

That's another reason why I didn't care to stay in the apartment. Those girls ruined the one good connection I had. It wasn't safe for me to stick around at a time like this. It was still tax time and during tax time, people made deals and some deals didn't go as planned. Any type of betrayal happening during these times were taken seriously.

Of course, I couldn't miss out on Rena' birthday but I went back home with a headache and sore throat. Rena didn't care just as long as I was there. She offered me orange juice and I actually drunk some then left to cry in Nicole's shoulder.

Nicole was that one work friend you're always around. You were with them at work and off work. We drank together, she listened to everything I told her and accepted everything. She never preached, insulted me, nor yell at me. In fact, she didn't really say anything and just let me rant. That was all I wanted.

When visiting Loraina, I found out that she was invited to a playdate with a little boy that she met during recess one day. She made so many new friends at the school and I couldn't keep up. Rena tried so hard to talk her out of it, but Raina needed her own friends. She was growing older and needed to learn more independence. That's why I allow her to go to all of the birthday parties, the tea parties, the slumber parties, and such with her friends. Rena just didn't see that. Somehow, this little girl still had time to be nosey in my roommates' business. That was another reason why I wanted her to get out of the house.

"Mommy, I'm so excited to see my friend. We were mad at each other, but now we're not," she said jumping around in her cute little outfit picked by Rena.

She wore some pink capri pants with a white shirt that had her name decorated on it with Minnie Mouse ears. As always, Rena kept her hair in pigtails with pink bows attached. She looked just like my sweet little girl and I had to give Rena her props. She always made my child dress up like a child should be dressed and never made her grow up so fast. Raina complained not one time. In fact, she loved everything Rena dressed her up in and so did I.
