Amber's POV

I had made my mind.

I decided to move on from the one person destined for me.

We all make mistakes but this... this is just a fork in the road.

"Amber snap out of it!" Jeffery yelled in my face.

"Sorry," I gave him a large smile and he smirked back.

"So, I guess we have to start packing," he purred next to my ear.

I shivered in delight and he pulled back with the same cheesy grin I always enjoyed seeing.

"Meany."

He looked surprised at his name I gave him.

"Meany? Why am I a meany."

"Because your a meany," I said and rolled my eyes at his puppy face.

He pretended to cry and I laughed harder.

"You think my despair is funny? Now who is the meany?" He mumbled.

"Excuse me?!" I yelled, anger coating my every word.

"Sorry, sorry," he put his hands in the air to surrender.

"Sorry isn't enough dear," I smirked at him.

His eyes pleaded to be forgivin.

"Dinner here at 5?" He asked weary of my answer.

"Maybe," I walked away.

He growled and I felt arms snake around my waist before lifting me into the air.

"Put me down you meany!" I screamed at him.

He growled playfully again.

"Okay I'll be here!" I screamed and he put me down.

Once my feet hit the ground I scrambled to get out the door. Looking around I noticed one problem.

How am I going to get home?

"Jeffery!"

He ran out searching for danger.

"Are you okay? What happened?"

I laughed at his worried face.

"I'm fine I just need to borrow your car."

His eyes widened.

I knew this was torture for him because his car was his baby.

Jeffery sighed and pulled his keys from his back pocket and held them out waiting for me to take them.

I'm surprised he didn't put up more of a fight!

"I was just kidding, Jeff, sheesh."

"Then how are you getting home?"

"I'll walk."

"Are you sure? I can just give you a ride."

"Yeah I'm sure, it's ok, I don't live far from here."

He smirked, "I know."

"You creep!" I joked with him.

"Just go home so you can get ready."

"How should I dress?"

"Casually beautiful."

"Yeah ok," I said and walked away.

When I was about a 1/2 mile from his tree house, I slid behind a tree and took off my clothes before shifting into my larger than normal silver wolf.

But something was different. I felt different. Stronger, more powerful.

'Jordan, what's going on?'

'Your an elemental, remember?'

'So, why do I feel different?'

'It's your body changing, getting ready for your powers,' she explained to me.

'What powers?'

She shut me out as if she knew something I didn't.

With my luck so far, she probably did.

Running around a bit, I noticed how much faster and more graceful I have become.

20 minutes later, I decided I needed to go home to get ready for my date, so I shifted and put my clothes back on.

But when I did, I found that I already had on a black sundress with multiple colored flowers imprinted on it. My hair was curled instead of being flat.

"Woah," I whispered to my self, looking at my reflection in the mirror.

My plain brown hair had transformed into a shiny brown with blond highlights.

My eyes were the only thing that stayed the same green color.

I was even skinnier than when I first shifted and still felt the power surging through my veins.

Checking myself out, I noticed a small tattoo.

It was a lightning bolt just below my wrist on my left arm.

Weird.

I look nice enough, I was only suppose to dress casual.

Finding my purse I pulled out my makeup and mirror.

Sticking with a natural look, I only put a small amount of eye liner on, making my eyes pop a bit. Then some nude colored lip gloss that my mom had got me for Christmas.

Nodding to myself, I was ready to go.

I pulled out my new phone and was about to call Jeffery when I was slammed into a tree.

I tried to push them away but they only strengthened their hold on me.

Not being able to move, The person had their hand wrapped around my neck.

I only got a glimpse of the man.

Trying and trying to breathe, I couldn't take it anymore so I let the darkness consume me.

My last thought was of the person who stood in front of me.

Kellan.

Yes I know I'm a terrible person for leaving a cliff hanger like this. But if you want to find out what happens next, then read on... if you dare. (or when I update next😋)
