Unintentionally Loving You || Lee Taeyong

"I'll sit with you." While waiting for the bus to pick us all up, students from Music department arranged their luggage. I played Superstar SMTOWN on my phone, not worrying much about my luggage. I just wanted to book the seat next to Yeojin in bus. Nothing else matters.

"Why would I sit with you?" Her question made me lost my focus that I missed some pattern to press on the screen. 

"Who will I sit with then? You're gonna sit with Mark? Seems like boyfriend is more important than a friend, right?" I rolled my eyes to her, arms crossing.

"I'm sparing you a chance to sit with Taeyong, okay? You're welcome!" She teased me, seriously why would I sit with Taeyong? I would rather sit with Lucas then. "You can pretend to sleep and lean on his shoulder. Then he'll look at you with that caring look and-"

"Oh my god, Yeojin. You're more disgusting than my korean dramas." I avoided her skinship but she chased me that I accidentally bumped into someone's chest. Just looking at Yeojin's reaction, I knew that I hit Taeyong.

I pushed him aside and brushed the dust off from my shirt. 

"Senior, can you sit beside my friend? I'm taking Senior Mark with me." I stepped on her shoe, begging her to stop. 

"Hyeyoon!" Lucas ran towards us. I smiled at him, it had been so long since I last seen him. I haven't seen him since..two days I think? 

"Lucas, let's go. Hyeyoon is busy." Yeojin pulled Lucas away with her, she might think that I will agree if Lucas asks to sit with me.

As they all left, it was awkward between me and Taeyong. We were being silent until the bus arrived. He helped me arranged my luggage in the bus's luggage storage. He then took the seat beside me.

During this quite a long trip, of course everyone fell asleep. I tried not to, I'm afraid that whatever Yeojin said earlier might come true. I didn't want to bother Taeyong by suddenly sleep and couldn't place my head properly.

"Why you didn't you sit with your boyfriend?" I turned to my left, looking straight into his face. That 'boyfriend' means, Lucas? He hang his headphone around his neck without looking back at me even he knew that I was staring at him.

"He's not my boyfriend, we're not dating for real." I wanted to ask him if he likes Sooah. I just wanted to confirm it from himself even though I've heard the truth from everyone else. But, I might just make it more obvious about the fact that I like him.

I checked my phone as a notification popped up. It was a message from Yeojin.

"Hyeyoon, I've read this online. If you want to know that a guy likes you, check this out."

She inserted a link too. Why would I check it out? The list might applied to Sooah.

But I pressed the link anyways. Signs that he has a crush on you.

1. He find you very attractive, praising you somewhere.

I remembered the night I went out dressing up highly, he has never praise me. Instead, he said that I was scaring people by my make up. It's not number 1 then.

2. He wants to be there for you.

He wants to be there..

"Taeyong, I'm scared!"

"I heard you."

Yes, he was there.

"I finally found you."

And he was there too.

"How do you get her number? Delete it."

"Let's go home."

He appeared like a knight at my hardest time. Is it because he likes me? I smiled remembering back those critical moments I faced with him.

"What are you smiling at?" He plugged off my earphone, giving me a weird look.

I immediately turned off my phone before he gets to see what I was reading.

"We've arrived."

I took my stuffs with me. We'll be staying at a homestay. This wasn't really the vacation I was expecting but never mind. After getting rooms for ourselves, I unpacked some personal things with Yeojin.

"You open that link, right? It's useful, I know." She threw herself on the bed I should be sharing with her. 

"No, I'm not." I denied. She laughed, knowing that I was lying.

Other students were busy taking shower but Yeojin and I were busy gossip our usual topic, crush and boyfriend. "I have something to tell you actually." 

She changed her position to sit and focused on me taking out my clothes. "What is it?"

"Um, actually..I live with Taeyong." I closed my eyes, in case she'll scold me for keeping this a secret.

I was wrong to think that way.

"That's good! You can definitely win over Sooah." She cheered. She was really an unpredictable girl. "Living together is a part of that signs." She was talking about crushing on you signs she read on Internet.

"Really?" For the first time I agreed to join her crazy fangirling. 

As the day became darker, we stopped talking and took night shower before gather with others at near the roomy land. They sat in circle, I guess it's a game time.

"Are we going to play truth or dare? That's boring." Someone pointed out his opinion. While they were busy thinking of what to play, some of the seniors were grilling meats.

"No, we're going to play.." He drummed by tapping his lap. "Biggest secret message."

I've never heard of such game, what stupid game was that? 

"Write your two biggest secrets on these papers and we'll exchange it around us." I have no secrets, should I tell a lie then?

I peeked at Taeyong, he wrote something on the papers. Even a person like him can has secrets?

After that exchanging part, I kept the two papers I got in my pocket. I'm just, not that interested in others' secrets I think. Dinner time has just ended and I right away went inside the room of me and Yeojin.

I was about to take a nap until Yeojin opened the door in sudden. She looked quite down. "What happened?" I took her to sit on the bed.

"The game was annoying. I've got a secret saying that 'I fell in toilet this morning'. What secret is that?" I burst into laughter at her explanation. "And the other one, someone wrote 'I think I like Taeyong, will he like me back?' What kind of question was that? Of course Taeyong won't, so I changed it with Taeyong's paper."

My hands were on Yeojin's shoulder, shaking her. "Han Yeojin, that was my paper!" She covered her mouth by her palm, looking shock at my confession. "You gave it to..Taeyong?"

"Hyeyoon, I didn't mean to say that Taeyong won't like you back. What I mean is, he can only like you and not others. I didn't know that you were the one who wrote that." She patted my back. "You're not someone who will write something like that, how am I able to guess?"

"Forget it." I didn't know why I wrote that too.

"But I have an interesting story to tell you. I said that Taeyong was exchanging paper with me, right? He gave me a paper that he changed with Mark earlier. Do you want to know what was the content? He said he hadn't read it yet so I'm the first to know."

I didn't want to be a busy body person but I'm actually curious of that too.

"Park Hyeyoon, don't like other guy. Because I like you." She read out the paper. I was thinking she tried to play around with me but she was serious because she showed me her paper.

I took out the two papers I got, trying to read mine.

One has, "I have no secret, sorry."

And the other one wrote, "I hope you will no longer be afraid of darkness. To, Park Hyeyoon."

I was getting confused at all the papers here that have my name written on. Yeojin and I faced each other at the same time. What did these all mean?

"Hyeyoon, you have secret admires!"
