ADALINE'S POV

"Mummy, are we there yet?"

"No, sweetie, we'll be there soon."

"Ughhh!"

That was every five minutes for the last hour. We were on our way to California and let me tell you this has been the longest flight of my life... We opted for arriving in California in the morning so that the majority of the flight was going to be at night so the kids could sleep. They did sleep the majority of the time, but there were moment they woke up asking if we were there and why they had to sleep on the plane. And then there was little Miss Mia who's starting to get fussy. Why did we decide to fly with a four year old, an almost 2 year old and a three month old? I'm starting to question that...

"Daddy....when we get there?" Mady asked annoyed.

"We're going to land soon, darling." He looked over at Matt who was getting fussy in his seat. "Matt, buddy, we'll be out soon. You're okay."

"Nooo. I want out!"

"Baby, I promise. It's only a bit more." I kissed the top of his head.

"Otay..." He grumbled cutely.

Within the next ten minutes we had landed (the kids were not a fan of the plane landing) and we were finally in California.

"Mummy..."

"We're here now, princess." I smiled.

"I doubt they'll work, but don't forget the sunglasses. Maybe they'll disguise us a bit." Paul reminded me.

"Oh, you're right." I pulled mine out of my bag and put them on.

From there Paul and I made sure we had everything before the five of us got off the plane. Going over to the baggage claim to grab our bags, Mady started to get all excited.

"Mummy! Where's Emma?"

"Emma's here somewhere. We have to go look for them."

She started to run off until I went over and caught her. "Madelynn Mary, I know you're excited, but you have to stay with Daddy and I."

"I'm sorry..."

"You're okay, sweetie. I just don't want to lose you." I took her hand as we went back over to Paul and Matt. "Do you see them anywhere?"

"Not yet. They have to be here somewhere." He said as we continued to walk through the airport. Soon we saw Julie's husband, Blake, waiting for us.

"Blake?"

"Hi! It's nice to meet all of you. You were probably expecting all of us. Julie had gotten caught up in a call for work and sends her apologises. She and the kids are going to meet us at the house you're renting."

"Oh, that's completely understandable. Thank you for still coming to meet us here."

"Oh, it's no problem. Come on, the car's out front. I think some people are starting to recognise you..."

Paul looked around a bit before looking down. "Took longer than I expected."

We then followed him outside to his car. Loading all of our bags in the trunk, we got in the car and were off.

"How was your flight?" Blake asked.

"Not too bad. A little long. I haven't been on a flight that long since I was a kid." I admitted.
