ADALINE'S POV

Tomorrow Alex and Amelia get married. I'm beyond excited! My big brother is finally settling down. He and Amelia decided on a small church wedding with a reception downstairs to follow. It'll be a wonderful time.

Today though was just a quiet day at home. Paul was working on his music in the studio while I was playing with the kids in the living room.

"Wow! Look at you, baby girl!" I smiled at Mia as she continued to stack her blocks. Her birthday was less than a month away and I could hardly believe it.  She's grown up so much the last few months.

"Mama!"

"Yes! You're such a big girl!"

She then put the last block on top, causing the whole tower to fall. She let out an excited yell and clapped her hands.

"Yay!" I clapped to, picking her up as I gave her a kiss. She quickly pulled away and crawled her little self back over to her toys.

"Darling, we have to get going to your doctor's appointment." Paul told me as he walked into the living room.

"I know, but Mia's just having so much fun. I feel bad having to go." I smiled and looked down at Mia, who was stacking her blocks again.

"Mummy, when the new baby get here?" Mady asked.

"We still have another two months, darling."

"Want baby now!" Matt yelled, causing all of us to giggle.

"I know, little man, we all want the new baby to get here, but we still have to wait."

"Awe..." He looked down. I pulled him closer to me and ruffled his hair.

"I know, buddy, you just want a little brother to play with."

He gave a small nod.

"Hopefully we have a boy and you get a baby brother. I know Da-" I let out a gasp and grabbed my stomach. "Oo there's a nice kick."

"Is that the baby?" Mady asked.

"Do you want to feel your baby brother or sister kick?"

She nodded and slowly walked over. Sitting down in front of me, I took her hand and placed it on my belly. A few seconds later the baby kicked. Mady's eyes lit up as soon as she felt it.

"Wow...That's the baby?"

"It is." I smiled and nodded. "I remember the first time I felt you kick when you were in my tummy. And I remember Matt's first kick and Mia's."

"Wow..." She said, still amazed.

"I know, little darling, it's all so exciting. But sadly now it's time for Daddy to take Mummy to the doctor to check on the baby."

"Help me up. I can get down here, but getting up is the problem." I reached for his hand as he helped pull me up.

"Now you three be good for Rosie. Mummy and I will be back in an hour."

"Otay Daddy!"

"Take your time, the four of us will be good here." Rose smiled. "I have everything set up for us to do some crafts."

"Crafts?!" Mady and Matt asked excitedly.

"Yes! Now say goodbye to Mummy and Daddy before we get started."

"Bye Mummy! Bye Daddy!" They said in unison.

"Bye kiddos."

Rose went over and picked up Mia as she waved bye-bye to us.

"Bye bye, peanut!" I kissed her lightly before we left.

"How are you feeling, love?" Paul asked as he drove us to the doctor's.

"Not too bad. My lower back hurts more and the baby's really starting to kick more, but that's all normal."

"I'm sorry, darling, but you only have eight weeks left."

"Yes, eight weeks will fly by." I smiled.

"It definitely will."

A few minutes later we arrived at the office and were put into the back room.

"Paul, Adaline. It's so good to see you both." Dr. Newman said as he walked in.

"Hello Doctor Newman."

"Look at you, finally into your third trimester. It's hard to believe you were here a year ago right before you had Mia."

"I know! She's getting so big! I can't believe she'll be one soon."

"That's wonderful. And Madelynn and Matthew are doing well?"

"They're great. They're so excited for the new baby."

"That's always wonderful to hear." He smiled. "Speaking of the baby, you're not having problems then?"

"No, none. Other than my back hurts all the time, but this is how I always get in my third trimester. And I feel huge. I don't remember being this big when I was at this point of the pregnancy with Matt or Mia." I told him as I ran my hands over my belly.

"With this being your fourth it's completely expected for you to be a bit bigger. Since your body is already used to the changes, it's expected for you to show earlier or be a bit bigger." He smiled. "Now let's check out this little one." He said as he began the ultrasound, checking over myself and the baby.

"Well, as always you have a very healthy baby. They're measuring larger than your last three. I'm expecting him to be close to hmm...nine pounds."

"Nine? Bloody hell." Paul said.

"T-That's bigger than the others...Madelynn was only three, Matt was around six and Mia was about the same." I looked at him. "Nine? Really?"

He gave a small nod. "You're measuring larger than you were during your last three. From the way it's looking, I would say probably about nine will be the birth weight. And with that I would say that I strongly recommend a cesarean for this delivery."

"Well, since I've had two already, a third won't be that bad."

"Other than that you and the baby are very healthy, Adaline. You have nothing to worry about. Just take it easy, but I know it's hard with having three little ones to take care of."

"It is. I promise I will. Thank you, Doctor." I smiled and stood up.

"During your next appointment we'll sit down and schedule a date for your cesarean."

"Okay. Thank you so much." I took Paul's hand as we walked out of the office. As soon as we got to the car he turned down me.

"Darling, are you sure you're okay with this?"

"Paul, I don't really have much of a choice. You heard what Doctor Newman said, it's safer to do a cesarean because of the baby's size, so I'm doing that."

"I just hate when you have cesareans...I'd rather be in the room with you instead of waiting out in the waiting room..." He admitted.

"I know...I hate not having you there is the worst part...But we have to do what's best for our little one to be delivered safely."

"We do." He took my hand and kissed it. "I love you, darling. Thank you for giving me three beautiful children, soon to be four, and making me the happiest man."

"And thank you for making me the happiest wife and mother..."

28 February

Today's the day. Today my big brother finally gets married. We all wondered when the day would come, but finally here we are. We had all just arrived at the church. Alex and Amy had asked Madelynn to be the flower girl and Matt and Andy to be the ring bearers. The kids were all so excited to be in Uncle Alex's wedding.

"Mummy! Look at me!" Mady exclaimed as she spun around in her flower girl dress.

"You look beautiful, princess!" I smiled and looked over at Amelia. "And you look gorgeous, Ames. Alex is very lucky."

"Thank you, Addie." She smiled.

"I can't believe my baby sister is getting married!" Alena exclaimed.

"I can't believe you both are this year!" Their mother, Theresa, smiled. "Both of my little girls are growing up."

"Oh, Mum. We'll always be your little girls." Alena said as they both hugged her.

The door then opened as Meredith walked in. "I see the beautiful bride is almost ready."

"She is. Just a few more touches on her hair and such."

"Do we know how the lads are doing?"

"I knocked on the door and I just heard Charlie yell that they're still getting ready."

"I'll go talk to them." I said as I stood up. "Come on, Mimi. Let's go see Uncle Alex and Uncle Charlie."

"I can watch her." Meredith said as she set Natalie down by her. "You go talk to them."

"Thanks, Mere." I smiled and walked out. All of a sudden I saw Matt and Andy go running by, followed by Paul and my mother.

"Matthew James! Andrew Benjamin! Now isn't the time for playing. Grammy promises once the ceremony is over you two can play during the party."

They both came to a stop and turned around. "Otay Grammy..."

"Having fun, I see?"

"They're full of energy this morning." Paul looked at me. "How're things with the girls?"

"Good. We're just about ready. Everyone's in there, but Lily's in another room feeding Ellie. She's a little fussy today."

"Awe, poor little thing. Your brothers are taking forever in there. Adrian stepped out a little bit ago because they were bickering with each other."

"Are you really surprised?" I giggled. "I'm going to go check on them. They need to get a move on."

"Alright, love. Good luck." He kissed me lightly before I went down the hall to where they were getting ready.

"Knock knock." I smiled and opened the door. "How's it going in here?"

"We're running late. This one slept in this morning...His wedding day of all days..." Charlie said as he shot Alex a look.

"I was tired! And I didn't mean to! I probably could have slept longer if you didn't come in yelling 'It's your wedding day! You can sleep in tomorrow! Get your lazy arse up!'." Alex did his best Charlie impression.

"Why am I not surprised?" I let out a laugh. "Only you, Alex."

"You know I've never been one to wake up on time."

"Oh yes. I remember Dad yelling to try to get you up in the morning." Charlie laughed.

Alex went quiet, looking down as he fixed his suit. "I really miss Dad, y'know? I know I wasn't the easiest child for he and Mum to raise and that I drove him crazy, but I still just wanted to make him proud."

"You did...Dad was proud of all of us."

"You grew up from that troublemaker teddyboy that you used to be. Dad saw that. I promise you he did." Charlie put his hand on Alex's shoulder. "He loved you, Alex."

"I know." He smiled sadly. "I just wish he could have been here."

"Actually, I have something that may help." Charlie went into his jacket pocket and pulled out a set of cufflinks. "Dad wore these at he and Mum's wedding, I worse them at mine and Lily's, so now it's your turn."

Alex slowly took them and put them on. "Thank you, Charlie..."

I couldn't help myself and completely burst into tears.

"Adaline..." They both turned to me.

"This is just the sweetest moment I think I've ever seen between you two!" I grabbed a tissue and wiped my eyes before it messed up my makeup too bad. "I didn't think you two could be this cute and sentimental! I can't take how sweet this is!"

"You get so emotional while you're pregnant..." Alex grumbled before giving me a smile.

"I know!" I said as I cried more. "Now hurry up you two. We have a wedding to get to! Your bride is waiting for you, A." I smiled and shut the door.

It wasn't much longer before the wedding began. The ceremony was beyond sweet. I had never seen Alex so happy and in love, he and Amelia were perfect for each other. And the kids had fun being in the ceremony too! Once that was all over we went downstairs for the reception.

"Do you want to go dance, darling?" Paul asked me.

"Would you be mad if I said no? I'm pretty comfy right here and I think someone else is too." I looked down at Mia who was laying on me asleep.

"Looks like all the excitement wore her out."

"I think so." I smiled and rubbed her back lightly. "Well, this is the last of the family weddings. Alex was the last one out of us to settle down." I looked around and turned to him. "Do you realise that I've been pregnant for every wedding but ours? I was pregnant at Charlie and Lily's, at Meredith and Mike's, and now at Alex and Amelia's."

Paul just let out a chuckle and ran his hand over my stomach. "I love you, you know that?"

"And I love you too." I smiled and kissed him.

"There's the queen and prince!" Alex yelled as he walked over. "And the princess. How are you enjoying things, Your Majesty?"

"We're having a great time. The kids are having a blast and this one's all worn out already." I smiled at her. "And the food was great. I'm so happy for you both, A."

"Thanks, sis. Oh! And thank you for watching the house and watering Amy's plants while we're gone. The kids said they're going to hide drawings around the house for us to find when we get back."

Paul and I both let out a chuckle. "And I know they will. They already have a stack of drawings started."

"We're very excited to find them." He laughed. "Well, I better get back over to Amy. I just wanted to say thank you again."

"You're welcome, Alex. Now go enjoy yourself." Paul smiled as Alex went off. "Now that this is almost over, next we have to prepare for Mia's birthday and then the baby."

"And then your album will be coming out! I'm sorry if I haven't been as much help with this one."

"You have helped. Don't worry, love, you've had your hands full with the kids."

"And we're about to have more of a handful soon." I smiled.

"Oh, we definitely will." He rubbed my belly lightly. "I love you..."

"I love you too..."
