ADALINE'S POV
MY BABY IS GOING TO BE FIVE TOMORROW! FIVE! It's so hard to believe that it's been five years since my whole life changed and I became a mum. All the fear I had of finding out I was pregnant, afraid I wasn't going to be a good mother...all of that went away and now I have such an independent little girl! She's supposed to be my baby forever! Can you tell I'm overly emotional? The pregnancy hormones are not helping either. And neither is the stress from this Harvey situation...I still have yet to tell anyone, but I can't take hiding it anymore...
Anyway, today we're having Mady's birthday party. As always the whole family is coming over. We decided to have it at our home in Sussex since there's more space and everyone can stay the night if they choose. Mady is beyond excited. She'll be even more excited when she gets her big surprise when the party starts. After about a week of phone calls and getting everything figured out, Julie and I had arranged for she and Emma to come to the party and stay for a few days. Julie had planned to come see some family and so the two of them wanted to surprise Mady for her birthday. I can't wait to see the look on her face when they arrive at the party.
"Addie, love! Everyone's starting to arrive!" I heard Paul yell from downstairs. Picking up Mia, the two of us came downstairs to see Mady very anxious and excited for her party."Your guests are starting to arrive, baby girl!"
She just smiled at me as she ran outside excitedly.
"Mummy?" I looked down to see my little man.
"There's my Matty! Come here." I bent down and picked him up, balancing him on one hip, Mia on the other. "Are you excited for Mady's party?"
"Yeah party!"
I smiled and went outside to find my brothers, Lily, Amelia and Andy already here.
"Look at you in your party dress! You're so pretty!" Alex told her as she spun around.
"Daddy got it for me!"
"How nice of him!"
"Andy!!" Matt yelled excitedly.
"Matt!"
I set him down as they ran off to play.
"Look at you! You're getting so big!" Lily told me as she walked over.
"Tell me about it. I feel like I'm going through my maternity clothes faster than the last time."
"That's how I felt with Ellie. I guess that just happens after your first. Or in your case after three." She giggled.
"Speaking of, look at her! She's growing so quickly!" I smiled and looked down at Ellie. "She looks so much like you, Lil."
"Thank you! I know, I can't believe how big my little girl is already!"
"And here's the queen." Alex came over, took my hand and kissed it. "Your Majesty..."
"Hey!" I playfully smacked him. "You're not going to drop this, are you?"
"Nope. So you're going to have to get used to it, Victoria." He smirked and laughed.
"I've tried, but this is a thing with him now." Amelia laughed.
"It's fine. It's better than being called 'squirt' and him always messing up my hair."
"You know, I could still do that."
"Nah, I'm good. Now if you'll excuse me, the queen must go greet the rest of her guests."
"Of course, Your Majesty." He bowed and smirked.
