Nana was laid to rest in the Greenland Cemetery. Several people who had known Nana when she was alive came to bid her farewell. In attendance were her acquaintances, co-workers, and some known celebrities who had something to do with Nana, her sons, or her grandchildren. Yes, there were a lot of people from far and near at the burial, but one thing was certain, and this was the fact that Nana was loved by so many people, and her death would definitely leave holes in so many.

After this, Alex drove Minnie and her friends to the hostel where he dropped them all. However, he had no plan of dropping his girlfriend, and so, they bid goodbye to the others, and drove on.

“So, where are we headed to, Mr. Canaan?” She asked.

He laughed once, “You make me sound older than I actually am.”

She rolled her eyes at him, “Fine. Anyway, where are we going to?”

“My apartment,” He simply replied.

She stared at him, as he kept on driving. “You have an apartment?” He nodded to this, and she frowned, “And, you’re just telling me this?”

Noticing the change in her tone, he threw his eyes to her, “I admit that I kept this from you, but I just couldn’t just yap about everything in a day, could I?”

She folded her arms, and kept her frown on without replying him.

“Alright, fire,” He said as he pulled over to the side of the road, “I do have an apartment,” He paused, “Well, actually, I have more than that.”

She threw her wide eyes to him, and her jaw dropped, “What the actual fuck, Alexander?”

“I’m being sincere, Minnie,” He replied.

She laughed, “So, you have not been honest with me? Now, I feel like I barely know you.”

He moved closer to her, “It’s not that. Yes, I might have kept some things,” he paused,
“I never planned on keeping a thing from you. It just felt as though these were all unimportant info.”

“Unimportant, you say?”

He laughed to himself. Despite the fact that she was angered, she still managed to look even cuter, but he was nevertheless scared of pushing her limits. He pulled her to himself, “I’m sorry, fire.”

Satisfied, she smiled to herself. It’s not that she did not trust his actions, or understand him. The truth was that she was upset at the fact that he still had some things that she wasn’t aware of. She wasn’t mad at him, and she didn’t think she could actually get mad at him. Even if she did, it wouldn’t take long and she’ll be back in his arms.

“No more secrets?” She muttered.

He kissed her forehead, “No more secrets.”

The jeep approached the green valleys of the Brimstone Estate, and paused in front of a bungalow. Alexander got down from the jeep, and walked to the house, he opened up the side garage, before coming back into the vehicle, and driving it in. After parking, both he and Minnie alighted and walked back to the frontier. Minnie’s eyes danced over the building, and she gaped in amazement. The house was beautiful, and it was located in a very serene environment. The place was quiet – not that there weren’t neighboring homes, because there were – and the flower bedding around the house just made it even more beautiful.

“Is it good enough?” Alex’s voice caught into her thoughts, and she turned to him with her mouth still agape.

“Are you kidding me, Alex?” She questioned, and looked back at the house with her eyes sparkling with admiration. She had always wanted to live in a bungalow and be happy – this had been a dream she had ever since she was a kid – and, when the girls at the brothel showed her textbooks and storybooks about beautiful places, she would always admire the bungalows in the books, not knowing if she’d ever be chance to see any in reality.
