He cleared his throat, "You want to work as a waitress?" The man asked; his bulgy eyes scanning her as he talked. He was an averagely tall man, with a cute round face, and equally round eyes. He looked like he was in his early fifties or late forties, and he had white hair which did not signify old age for him. It must have been something to do with his genes.

Minnie exchanged glances with Genesis who sat beside her in the office, "Yes sir." But the man remained quiet and his gaze remained on Minnie. She interlocked her fingers together nervously as she stared at the man; her eyes desperate and hungry for a reply.

Finally the man sighed, "But, why waitressing?"

This was certainly not the reply she was expecting, and her eyebrows furrowed together, "Pardon me?"

He placed his hands on the table, and moved a bit closer in towards the ladies, "You are a beautiful girl, and you sure do have the body of a dancer, and-"

Minnie knew where he was headed to, and this was what she was afraid of - guessing dressing decently doesn't just do the job - he still saw her as a sex object. Forget trying to be nice, she would not let him get any crazy ideas about her.

"I prefer working as a waitress," She said bluntly, and then added, "sir."

He wanted to say something, but he just relaxed back in his chair and watched her, "Okay, but the pay will not be as huge as that of Gen." The man said; his voice now turned stern.

She could almost smell the displeasure in his voice, but she was okay with the fact that he had accepted, and refused to press further with the issue of becoming a club dancer. Even though the pay seemed tempting, Minnie knew best than take that risk. Besides, starting anew did not involve going back to her vomit.

"Thank you so much, sir. I am much pleased with waiting tables." Dominique said with a smile.

"Good." The man said, and then shifted his eyes to Gen, "Hand her over to Paul, and you can get to work." He looked back at Minnie, "the both of you."

Minnie's smile stretched, "thank you sir."

"We will do that, Joe." Gen said as she stood up, and Minnie followed suit. They both walked to the door, but his voice stopped them.

"I didn't get your name."

Minnie turned back to him, "Pardon me, sir. I'm Dominique."

He nodded, "Very well, Dominique. I am Joe, and you are very welcomed to the lovers club." He said.

She smiled, and turned back to Gen, and they both walked out.

Dominique looked at herself in the mirror, and dusted the uniform one more time. She looked at herself and laughed wondering how she ended up looking like a local village girl. Even though she didn't look like Minnie from her past, she was certainly happy at her new self.

She used her fingers to comb through her hair, and bonded it into a tight ponytail - this should be comfortable enough. She took a look at the mirror once again, and smiled - well, she looked perfect.

She turned and walked out of the employee's changing room, and unto the club. She squinted her eyes, and spotted the buff man standing behind the counter - he was the one Gen had introduced her to as Paul, and he was certainly looking too hot for this kind of place.

She walked to the side of the counter, "Hey, Paul."

He looked away from the front, and to her, and studied her for a while, his eyes scanning her from her head to her toes. He finally met with her eyes, "So, you're Dom, right?"

Dominique was surprised that he knew her name, but she instantly knew the culprit was Gen with the nickname he called her - only Gen calls her that. "Yes, that's me Dominique."

He waved his hand, "Your name's too long and I can't have my tongue twisted trying to pronounce it," he said, and walked to a side in the counter, only to reappear with a try of drinks. "Take this to table six over there," He handed the tray over to her, and pointed to a table close to the dance stage.

She nodded, "Sure," and began walking to the men. Her feet were heavy and reluctant as she walked through the midst of the men, as each man struck their eyes at her - ignoring the curvy girl on the stage. This was certainly what she feared, but she was just going to walk on, and act as though nothing is happening.

She finally got to the men, and placed the tray on the table. She wanted to turn back, when her hand was held by one of the men, and she spun around to meet his lustful glare.

"Baby, don't just go. Keep us, the boys, company." The man said.

She literally and to swallow her bile, and not puke at how disgusting he looked - he was obviously drunk, and wasted - just like the rest of his friends. She knew how dangerous men can be under the influence of alcohol and drugs, and so, she knew that her actions had to be carefully taken.

She smiled, and gently tried to remove her hand from his grip, but he only held her harder.

"Please release my hand, sir," She gritted through her forced smile, but the man did not budge. He didn't even act as though he listened to what she had said. That's it. She felt the anger rush through her at once, but she took a deep breath to control her action, and she forcefully yanked her hand from his grip.

"Enjoy your drinks, sire." She muttered under her breath as she turned around and walked away from their table. Her walk was abruptly paused when a hand purposely swatted her buttocks. This time around, she did not contain her anger, and she veered to the culprit, and instantly gripped his arm tightly, making sure that her nails dug their way into his flesh.

He yelled out in pain, as he tried to get his arm free. By this time, the whole club had their eyes on them. Dominique did not care - he couldn't disregard her and get away with it scot free.

"Leave him, bitch." One of the men behind her said.

She ignored them all as she drilled her fingers into her victim's arm, and his cries became more filled with pains. She felt someone behind her trying to hold her back, but she used her elbow to hit whoever stood behind her with the thought that it was one of the men, but she was surprised when she heard Paul's grunt, but more surprised when she heard Gen's voice.

"Leave him, Dom."

This was all it took to fling the man away from herself and turn to both Gen and Paul. Paul had his hand on his chest, and Gen had her hand covering her mouth in shock. Minnie looked around her, and saw that the music had stopped, and the whole club was facing her.

Her eyes darted further towards the edge of the club, and saw Joe standing there with his arms folder.

She gulped as the reality swarmed in. She had finally messed herself up.

Well, she had just lost her job on the very first day of the job.
