The car speed through the lone road, and Dominique watched as the trees moved past them. She knew the road well, and she might have to say the forest was almost like home to her. Yes, she was aware of where he was driving her to - even though he did not say.

She stole a gaze at him, and caught him staring at her; he smiled and looked back on the road. Her face warmed up at this - she had missed having him by her side.

After the flash fight between him and Paul, he had chosen to drive her here. Even though the matter had passed and she knew that Paul's actions were justifiable, and that he had also promised to not hurt anyone, more than he needs to, she was still scared for a while that something will happen to Alex. However, her boyfriend handled it pretty well, and for the first time, she also began to think that she really didn't know Alex that well.

It's not that she didn't trust him, because she did, it was just that she didn't think that Alex had some fighting skills in him. In any way, she's grateful that he's back, and that's all that matters.

She looked forward, and saw the Zoophile house come into view, and she sighed. Definitely, she wanted to see Nana, but she wasn't so sure of everyone else.

Alex's hand came over her own hand, and she turned to him, "You may be wondering why I've brought you here," he said, and glanced at the house. Dominique also took a look at the building in front of her.

"I know about Vincent, Andrew," he paused, "and, my dad."

She shifted her eyes back to him, "You do?"

A small smile broke on his lips, and he nodded, "Yes, Minnie. I know everything," he said, and brought her hand to his lips - he trailed his lower lip over the back of her palm, and then turned her hand around, and kissed the inside of her palm.

Her eyes sparkled as they met with his, her lips parted to speak, but he placed a finger over her them.

"It's alright, Dominique," He said, shutting her up. "I should have done this a long time ago, but I promise you, Minnie, that I will always be here, right by your side," He added.

The glowing appreciation on her face shone brighter than the setting sun which radiated on her lips, "Thank you, Alex."

He shook his head, "No," he cocked his head to her, "Thank you, Minnie, for being who you are, and for loving me," he paused; his lips hesitating over hers.

She rolled her tongue over her lips, moistening it, and she let her lips fall into a lopsided grin. He had no idea how thankful she was, and she will always be grateful to the heavens for the gift of love bestowed in the image of Alexander J. Canaan.

She looked away from him, "So, why are we really here?"

Surprised at her move, he straightened up and looked at the once, "I believe I owe my brother a visit."

Her eyes went blank as she noticed the familiar scowl in his face, and she knew that his anger was at the peak. She could only imagine what would happen if he faces his brother at this time. As much as she hated Andrew, she wouldn't want to witness a brother beat up the other.

She placed her palm over his, and he turned his eyes to hers, "Don't go in there, please."

He exhaled nosily through his pursed lips, "Minnie, I have to do this. I would have no rest if I don't see Andrew."

She leaned in to him, making sure her gaze never shifted from his, "I understand, but it's probably not the right time."

His lips fell into a deep frown, "Minnie, he hurt you."
