"Why do you care" I said shrugging my shoulders

"Really?" Luca says "What's the attitude for?"

"Sorry, I just went out for a walk" I lie

"But I just saw you come out of someone's car?" Luca says

"What's up with all the questions ? that was an Uber" I say

"But your grounded and you don't have your phone? So how could you order an Uber?" Luca says

Fuck, little smart bitch

"I was lucky enough too run into one that was empty" I say

Luca just hums in response

"So what are you doing here" I ask "it's like four in the morning"

"I missed you, I feel like or relationship is fading and I don't want that to happen" luca says as he pulls be closer to him by my waist

"Aww that's cute" I touch his nose with the tip of my finger "so how long have you been here" I ask

"Uh not long, a couple minutes" luca says

"You do know school starts in a couple of hours right ?" I say

"Yeah I know but do you ?" Luca says and I laugh "I was going to stay a bit here with you but the sun is about to come out any minute so I got to head home"

"Are you giving me a ride today?" I ask

"Yeah I'll be back to pick you up, have some rest while you can" luca says and waves goodbye

He walked towards my window and climbed out, as I see him leave I let out air of relief and flop on my bed

I slowly close my eyes and fall asleep

"Wake up, come on, time for school" my mom says turning on my lights

I was super tired and didn't want to get up so I decided to fall back asleep for some minute

"I'm not playing with you Elena get up!" I heard my mom scream

"I am" I said

"You need to stop going to school late" my mom said

Why is she still even here? She's never here in the morning

As I opened my eyes I felt them super heavy, I looked in the mirror and I had eye bags, great. I showered and changed, Luca soon came and drove me too school

It was finally lunchtime and luca and I were making our way to the cafeteria

"Gosh I'm so tired" I say as I lay my head on luca while we walk

"Well than why did you go out for a walk, I'm sure if you didn't leave your house you wouldn't be tired right now" luca says

"Look at who's the one with the attitude now" I say as I take my head off luca and give myself some space from him

"I'm sorry, come here" luca pulls me closer to him and lays my head back down "why did you even sneak out?" Luca asked and we finally entered the cafeteria

"I was having trouble sleeping so I thought going for a walk would be nice" I lie and sat down In a table as luca does the same

"Your kinda been different lately" luca says

"How come?"

"Well going to party's, sneaking out, getting grounded, that's not you" luca says

"I promise I'm fine, plus I only sneaked out because I can't sleep and I didn't want to just lay there all bored" I say

"Want me to start coming in the night ? I can help you try and fall asleep" luca smiles

"No, I'm fine, you don't have to-" I say as nicely as I can but I get interrupted by a random guy

"Wasuppp Luca, see you later, yeah ?" the guy says as he dabs up luca

"Yeah of course" luca says back and the guy leaves

I didn't get a good look from the guy so I was super confused on who he was, I'm Lucas only friend so seeing a guy talk to luca is kinda a surprise, not because I think luca is weird or lame or because i think he can't get friends but because luca is a very distant person, having a lot of friends isn't for him

"Huh ? Who's that" I ask

"That's Julian" luca says

"Wait really?" I asked surprised

You can say Julian is popular, everyone in the school knows him because he's in the soccer team and is super good, he's also super attractive which means he gets girls and a lot of them

"Yeah" luca laughs

"Wait what did he mean when he said 'see you later'?" I ask

"We have soccer practice today" luca smile

"Wait soccer practice?" I smile

Luca always loved soccer but he wasn't the best player, freshman year luca tried out for the soccer team but didn't make it, which crushed his heart

"Yeah I made the team" luca smiles

"Oh my god that's good news why didn't you tell me earlier" I said

"I was Its just I kept forgetting" luca says

"Oh" I said at the fact luca 'forgot' to tell me something that's super important to him

"Sorry I didn't tell you earlier but the good thing is you can come to my games and cheer for me" luca smiles and puts his hand over me

"Yeah" I said

"Thanks for the ride" I told luca

"Of course, I have to go now, I have practice" luca said

"Alright, bye" I wave

I walk inside my house and got ready to go to work

When I got to work I just sat there and thought, I'm keeping secrets from luca but I'm mad because luca didn't want to tell me he got in the soccer team? Mattia makes me feel special, he's different and I can feel it, Luca is someone who's always been in my life and I enjoy but this whole Mattia thing is making me distant from luca, Luca was right when he said I haven't been myself lately, I guess Mattia changed me but I think for the better, I'm having fun and I'm happy which is all that matters, I just need to get my emotions together
