Chapter 6: The Pressure Builds

Kody's P.O.V.

As we begin to walk away. I look over to Lumine, who's starting to look upset. I usually don't see him like this, but he seems pissed. He then immediately turned around and shouted. I wish I knew what he said.

Lumine's P.O.V.

I can hear them; saying things behind our backs.

I can see them; pointing and looking away in disbelief, like somethings wrong.

I watch, as people make disgusted faces at me. I started to feel upset. 'Why does this always have to happen to us.' I thought to myself.

"Eww, do you you see them?"

"They should be ashamed..."

"Cover your eyes, kids..."

I could hear everything people were saying about us. I was trying hard not to snap and the people won't shut up and Kody doesn't know what's going on and—

"I don't know about you, but I think they should die."

That finial persons words stuck, and I finally snapped.

"F**k off already! If you have something to say to us, then say it to our face!"

I can't believe I said that. And as quickly as I said it, I regretted it. I quickly grabbed Kody's hand and started to run, pulling him with me.

"L-Lumine, what's wrong, why are we running?"

"I'll tell you when we get back!" I "yelled" as I hurried back to Camille's house.

When we got back, I opened the door, ran through, and locked it.

Kody's P.O.V.

I ran through the door just before Lumine reached over to lock it.
"Hey Lumine..."

"Yea?"

"What was all that about?"

"Those people were saying rude things and I started to get mad, so I snapped."

"Oh...but why did we run?"

"Oh...Um...I-I was kind getting scared because I didn't know what the people were gonna do..."

"Oh, That reminds me, I wanted to know if you could teach me some Terranian? Just enough to be able to communicate..." I hesitated but managed to get it all out.

"Oh, sure. Whenever you want I can teach you."

"T-Thanks Lumine..." I said as I then kissed him. "We can start tomorrow morning. It's getting pretty late now. I think we should go to bed."

"Yeah..."
