EXT. BLIZZARD HILLS - AFTERNOON
Kayla and Braixen are still riding their bikes through the snowstorm. Alolan Vulpix is now in Kayla's basket, loudly humming an annoying tune.
DEWOTT
(Annoyed)
Could you stop?
Vulpix ignores her and just starts humming louder. Kayla frowns.
BRAIXEN
When are we supposed to get to where the Ice Stones are?
Alolan Vulpix still doesn't care, and begins humming even louder.
DEWOTT
Kid, if you don't want to be left behind again, talk.
ALOLAN VULPIX
...fine. We're almost there.
DEWOTT
(Sighs)
Thank you. What should we be looking for? Some sort of mine?
ALOLAN VULPIX
A house.
BRAIXEN
A house?
ALOLAN VULPIX
Yes. You sure have large ears for someone who doesn't know how to listen.
BRAIXEN
Well, you've gotta learn some manners! What kind of house are we looking for?
ALOLAN VULPIX
A house that belongs to two idiots.
(Looks forwards)
...that one.
Kayla and Braixen see a small yet bright light not too far off.
DEWOTT
She's right. Let's get this over with.
Braixen and Kayla speed up on their bikes and begin driving down a hill. Alolan Vulpix hangs on to the rim of the basket for dear life.
ALOLAN VULPIX
(Horrified)
N-n-n-n-n-n-no! Stop!
DEWOTT
If you hang on, you won't die!
This horrifies and silences Vulpix. Suddenly, Braixen and Kayla skid to a stop in front of a small cabin. The windows of the cabin are lit up and there's a small lantern hanging from the overhang in front of the door. The rescue team gets off their bikes and approaches the door. Alolan Vulpix also leaps out of the basket, but she sits down with her back turned to the door. Braixen knocks.
DEWOTT
(To Alolan Vulpix)
You coming?
ALOLAN VULPIX
No.
Kayla rolls her eyes. Slowly, the door creaks open to reveal NINETALES.
NINETALES
Greetings. And who might you be?
(Sees Alolan Vulpix)
Ah. My sister has sent you here, I suppose?
BRAIXEN
Um, yeah. Apparently we're supposed to get an Ice Stone from you?
