Kayla, Lucario, Alolan Marowak, and Meowstic are walking together through the plains. Off in the distance they can see a plateau on their left, and a mountain on their right.
DEWOTT
So... How far away is this kingdom, exactly?
LUCARIO
I've never been there.
DEWOTT
M'kay.
ALOLAN MAROWAK
I've been there once, multiple years ago.
DEWOTT
Yeah?
ALOLAN MAROWAK
Yes. It's not a very long walk. I suspect we'll be there by this evening.
DEWOTT
Good.
MEOWSTIC
W-what exactly will we be fighting?
LUCARIO
A Tyrantrum. Among other things, probably.
MEOWSTIC
Won't that be difficult?
DEWOTT
(Sarcastically)
No, Urshifu sent the entire guild to fight it because it would be too easy of a fight for one of us to do alone.
MEOWSTIC
(Sighs)
I'm not really feeling up to it...
ALOLAN MAROWAK
Meowstic, you're on a rescue team now. You might not always feel up to going on rescue missions but even when you're tired, Pokemon will need saving. It's your responsibility to try your hardest.
MEOWSTIC
I suppose so, yes...
(A pause)
How did I get to the guild, anyways? I just woke up one morning and I was there... I don't even remember what my life was like before today.
Knowing the answer because of Ninetales, Kayla almost tells Meowstic the answer. However, she quickly slaps herself across the face to shut herself up.
LUCARIO
What was that for?
DEWOTT
Oh, um, I'm practicing my pain resistance.
LUCARIO
(Doubting it)

Zoom in on Decidueye, Primarina, and Incineroar, who are all hiding together behind a tree not too far away. Decidueye is using binoculars.

Hey, get a load of this! That Meowstic is decked out in gold!

(Steals binoculars)
