EXT. DOOMDUNE DESERT - LATE NIGHT
Dewott, Exploud, and Lucario are all sleeping in the sand peacefully as Braixen's voice is heard.
BRAIXEN (O.S.)
A Mega Sceptile!
Lucario's eyes open in a flash and he stands up.
Cut to Braixen.
BRAIXEN
(Nervously)
I'm not here to hurt you or your baby, okay?
Treecko nervously hugs Mega Sceptile's leg and points at Braixen.
TREECKO
Mama, that scary fire-type is trying to hurt me!
BRAIXEN
W-what? No! You stole my berry!
TREECKO
(Faking innocence)
I don't remember that...
BRAIXEN
(Angry)
You little brat!
Suddenly, Sceptile turns around and bashes Braixen with her tail. Braixen falls over onto her back, but quickly stands back up and dashes to about ten feet away from Sceptile.
BRAIXEN
Stealing isn't right. I'll win this battle fair and square!
Braixen uses Flame Charge and runs towards her foe, but Sceptile easily stops her by pushing Braixen with only her left hand. After a few seconds Braixen stops running, exhausted.
SCEPTILE
Get away from my son.
BRAIXEN
Can't you understand? I didn't come here to hurt you! I just want my berry back!
SCEPTILE
Finders keepers.
Sceptile inhales and Braixen quickly shields her own face with her arms. Sceptile then uses Dragon Breath.
BRAIXEN'S POV: Purple light flashes as Braixen tries not to let the Dragon Breath get to her face. Once the purple light stops flashing, Braixen moves her arms and sees that Sceptile is about to strike her.
LUCARIO (O.S.)
(Yells)
Get away from her!
Suddenly, Lucario rams into Mega Sceptile using Extreme Speed. Sceptile is thrown off-balance, and Lucario uses the opportunity to toss Braixen her stick.
BRAIXEN
Thanks.
Lucario nods, then runs at Sceptile and does a flying side kick. Sceptile manages to pivot out of the way, and Lucario lands on the opposite side of her.
SCEPTILE
I'll kill you both before you lay a paw on my baby!
LUCARIO
That'll be more difficult than you'd expect!
Lucario stretches his arm out and Dark Pulse comes radiating out of his paw. However, an odd glint appears in Mega Sceptile's eye and the Dark Pulse phases right through her. Close-up on Braixen, who is using Flame Charge, but gets knocked back by Lucario's Dark Pulse.
LUCARIO
(Worried)
