Episode 9: Chaos at Kana Canyon

EXT. DOOMDUNE DESERT - MORNING

Lucario, Dewott, Braixen, and Lucario are walking together through the desert. There's a sandstorm raging, making lots of noise and making it very difficult to see and hear.

DEWOTT

Are we getting any closer to Kana Canyon?

BRAIXEN

WHAT? I CAN'T HEAR YOU!

DEWOTT

I SAID, ARE WE GETTING ANY CLOSER TO KANA CANYON?

BRAIXEN

I DON'T KNOW! SHOULDN'T YOU BE ASKING EXPLOUD?

DEWOTT

I AM ASKING EXPLOUD!

LUCARIO

I CAN'T HEAR YOU. WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU NEED TO ASK EXPLOUD?

DEWOTT

HOW CLOSE WE ARE TO KANA CANYON?!

EXPLOUD

(Even louder than usual)

WE'RE GETTING REALLY CLOSE!

Everyone covers their ears except Exploud.

DEWOTT

LORD ARCEUS! WHY ARE YOU SO LOUD?

EXPLOUD

WE'RE ALL YELLING, AREN'T WE?

(A beat.)

ANYWAYS, KANA CANYON WOULD BE WITHIN SIGHT IF IT WEREN'T FOR THE SANDSTORM.

LUCARIO

GOOD. WE NEED TO GET TO MEDITITE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

BRAIXEN

DOES ANYBODY HERE KNOW SUNNY DAY OR SOMETHING?

EXPLOUD

YUP!

DEWOTT

YOU DO?! THEN WHY DIDN'T YOU USE IT EARLIER, DOOFUS?

EXPLOUD

OH, DON"T BE MEAN!

Exploud uses Sunny Day and the sandstorm subsides. Kayla and Braixen both sigh.

EXPLOUD

IS THAT BETTER?

BRAIXEN

Yes. Thanks, Exploud.

EXPLOUD

ANY TIME.

LUCARIO

Look! Kana Canyon!

The four adventurers look towards Kana Canyon, two giant plateaus in the distance.

BRAIXEN

It can't be any more than an hour away, can it?

LUCARIO

(Gets an idea)

We could get there a lot more quickly if we use Extreme Speed and Aqua Jet...

DEWOTT

Braixen doesn't know Aqua Jet, doofus.

LUCARIO

That's why you're going to take Exploud's hand. And Braixen, you'll take mine i-if that's alright.

BRAIXEN

(Smiles)

Of course!

Kayla reluctantly takes Exploud's hand and Lucario holds Braixen's. Kayla and Lucario then use Aqua Jet and Extreme Speed, respectively, off into the distance.
