Kayla sits up. Braixen does as well.
DEWOTT
...what's it like being a human?
BRAIXEN
Yeah.
DEWOTT
Well, it's pretty cool, I guess.
BRAIXEN

DEWOTT
Um, it's great! Everyone that talks is the same species and civilization is more advanced and Pokemon don't exist so there are no battles and--
BRAIXEN
I thought you liked battling!
DEWOTT
Heck yeah, I do. But when there's no battling, there's less injuries and stuff.
BRAIXEN
Mmhm.
(A beat.)
What do humans look like?
DEWOTT
What do they look like? They're tall, I guess. And they don't have fur or anything-- they have hair on their heads, though.
BRAIXEN
That's weird.
(A beat.)
No offense.
(A longish pause)
What type are humans?
DEWOTT
They aren't Pokemon.
BRAIXEN
I know, but--
DEWOTT
Only Pokemon have types.
BRAIXEN
Oh. In the human world, are there other things? Or is it just humans?
DEWOTT
Nah, it's not just humans. There's also animals and stuff.
BRAIXEN
What are those?
DEWOTT
They're...
(A pause)
They're kind of like Pokemon, I guess. Some are big and some are small. Some live underwater and some don't.
BRAIXEN
(Intrigued)
What do they look like?
DEWOTT
They look like a lot of different things. Some even look like Pokemon, come to think of it.
BRAIXEN
Are there any that look like me?
DEWOTT
Not... really? There are foxes that kinda look like you but all of them walk on four legs.
BRAIXEN
I used to walk on four legs when I was a Fennekin...
DEWOTT
Oh yeah. I forgot you weren't always a Braixen. So you just... changed your name when you evolved?
BRAIXEN
