Ugh, Uniforms

Chp. 13

My transformation into a german shepherd finished a few days ago and ever since then I've noticed some things. One, my sense of smell and hearing have become more vivid. It's like an entirely new world but with only smells! But I now understand why Jack sleeps naked. Fur, cloths, and blankets don't go well together, I was a sweating mess after the first night. So I took off my shirt and started to just wear shorts. Sleeping since then has also gotten more enjoyable, cuddling with Jack is the best! Being next to his warm chest while he hugs you isn't worth anything else in the world. Unfortunately, school is starting soon and I'll be attending the school that Jack goes to. I'll also be in room 701, apparently rooms are organized by types of animals so I'm in a canine dorm. So for the first time in forever, Jack and I went school shopping!

"So, what do we need?" I asked while we entered the store.

"The basics and a few things to make the place cozier," I smiled as we started to grab supplies.

"They also have uniforms here," Jack stated as he picked up a pencil sharpener.

Oh, uniforms... I hate uniforms, they are the most uncomfortable and hideous outfits on the planet. We started to approach the clothing section and to my surprise the outfits were decent. Jack sprung in and grabbed a few that were his size. I thought I was shorter than Jack, but now that I was standing next to him I realized I grew a bit as well, I was just as tall as him. I took an outfit from him and went over to the changing rooms. When I came out I felt like I was wearing a neon purple jumpsuit, I still hated this uniform.

"You look swell," Jack looked at my figure, it was tight around the waist and showed my slightly broad figure well.

"Hugs just the right places," I added while I walked back to the changing room, strutting.

I giggled and changed my clothes. I was never one to like clothes, I didn't care what I wore unless it included neon or the colors yellow and orange. Looks were never that important to me in the first place. However, even if shopping was a drag, being with Jack made in infinitely better. But, until Jack tells his dad about him being gay. We can't show any affection towards another, we can't let any rumor spread. I wouldn't want to harm their relationship in any way. I picked up my clothes and gave them to a clerk, they were too showy for me to where at school. I chose a size up and we headed over to the register.

"Thanks again, I would pay but.." I trailed off, I didn't have a way of making money yet.

"No problem," Jack shook his head and paid the bill.

We started to walk back to the bus station, I started thinking. I should give Jack some encouragement! That could be just what he needs!

"Hey Jack, you know I'll support you no matter what you do right?" I asked as I skipped ahead, turning so I could face him.

"Of course, we're a duo now," Jack, the labrador smiled.

He said that he couldn't feel negative emotions, I can still can, however. But, he's been showing more of himself to me and now I know he can fee those emotions. Perhaps, he could be concealing a side of him?

"Then I hope you don't mind me asking, do you have a plan," I started walking before tilting my head, looking at him with my right eye.

"For coming out I mean," I walked back to him.

"Don't worry, I got it," Jack kept his smile up.

I wanted him to tell me the truth, I wanted to trust him but a feeling started to resonate within me.

"It's ok if you don't," I reached his shoulder.

Jack looked down and knocked my hand away. I stepped back, I overdid it.

"You don't need to be so pushy, I can handle it myself," Jack's tone was calm but Stearn.

"I'm sorry," I pleaded.

We kept on walking back to the bus stop and in perfect time. The bus was there waiting, any later and we would have missed it. We entered the empty bus and sat down.

"I know you want to help but, this is my problem. I need to be the one to tell him and I need to do it," Jack's usual smile was absent and instead he turned to me with a small frown.

"Alone," Jack tried to look me in the eye but quickly faced away.

"I understand, I'm sorry for being pushy. I just wanted to help you," I couldn't understand what Jack was going through, I never told my parents. I was too nervous.

We rode the bus and soon we reached our station, a quick two blocks from the house. We started walking and after we passed the first block Jack stopped walking.

"I love you so much," Jack spoke with the sweetest voice.

"People here don't see homosexual couples well.." he beamed and reached for my hand, he pulled me in and we hugged.

I was very happy and rested my head on his shoulder, our tails were wagging fiercely. I guess they really do have a mind of their own.

"I love you too," I said while hugging back tightly.
