Jess groaned , feeling her whole body ache. "Hey" Manny murmured , peering at the awakening the girl. Vik had treated both Jess and Tobi , knowing that they would be turned away if they were to be taken to a hospital. The two wounded had slept for a long time due to the blood loss , Tobi still being in a deep slumber.
"Jesus Christ , what happened?" Jess spoke as she sat up , her eyes meeting the mirror in Manny's room. Her hands skimmed over her face , the large cut on her face beginning to scar. She gulped , tears springing to her eyes , "Ummm your fa- i mean steven , he's well , we were told he had died , most of his gang too. Apparently Adam had knew him for a long time , Jason begged for us to forgive him, he's in the basement" Once Manny finished Jess turned to him , tears streaming down her cheeks. "Did they hurt you?" She mumbled , her hands grabbing at the boys face , turning it to see if he was hurt. Manny sighed , grabbing the girls hands in his own , "They didn't hurt me , only you and Tobi , they seemed to know you too were powerful together" Jess looked towards the floor , taking her hands from Manny's to wipe her tears away.
"I can take you to see Tobi if you want? He's still asleep though" Manny spoke as her hugged the girl to his chest. "No- i want to see Jason" The girl whispered looking up into Manny's eyes. "Of course , beautiful" Manny mumbled his finger smoothing over the girls new cut on her cheek. She smiled small at the boy , both standing up , the girl reaching for Manny's hand , holding it as they walked out of his bedroom door. Manny pulled the girl down the stairs , realising how out of it she was.
"Where are you two going?" Josh spoke as the two made their way down the hallway. Josh shocked the girl , as she had not ever heard him speak , she imagined his voice to be more raspy. Jess looked towards the boy , a dull ,exhausted expression on his face as he rose his cup of what Jess thought to be tea to his mouth. "We're going to see Jason" Manny spoke , squeezing the girls hand. "Be careful , he's been kicking off" Josh spoke , sending the two a warm smile before walking away.
Manny smiled softly at the girl before leading the girl to a metal door. The locks to the door took a few minutes before the door opened , yells being emitted from the bottom of the stairs. Manny led the girl in , shutting the door after them. The two continued downstairs , Jason's yells raising in volume , "let me the fuck out!" He screamed as the two got to where he was situated. A sinister laugh came from the mans mouth as he caught sight of the girl who had ruined his life.
"What are you doing here , you bitch?" the man spat , blood escaping his cut mouth. Jess stood there , frozen. It was obvious she was scared of the man whether he was tied to a chair or not. "What's wrong , cat got your tongue?" The man gave a bloodied smile , causing Manny to scoff , holding the girls hand tighter as he saw the girl frown.
"I fucking hate you!You fucking murdered my brother!" Jess frowned even more at her uncle's change in emotions , it wasn't even her fault , it was her fathers for turning up in the first place and not leaving. "and he killed my fucking mother! You guys fucking killed Manny's family! i should be the one saying i hate you!" The girl sneered , Jason laughing at her in response , "They all deserved it , your mum was a whore , that Tobi boy fucked it all up for his family by disrespecting us! Now look at you- you fucking bitch , you're a slut for him and his brother! You disrespectful bitch!" The mans breathing was rapid as he stopped talking , Manny noticing that the girls grip loosened his hand , soon being pulled away the girl mumbling "fuck this" Before rushing froward to the man who was tied down. Her hands grabbed at the mans throat , squeezing tightly , soon cutting off his breathing. "I hope you rot in hell" Jason chocked out , his face turning a blue shade before he stopped his movement of trying to break free of her hold , his body slumping as his eyes held a lifeless look. The girl let go , moving back as she stared at her hands before collapsing. Manny rushed to the girl holding her as she cried.
"Hey shhh , come on- let's go back to my room yeh?" He whispered , helping the girl stand up. He continued to help the girl get up the stairs , her cries not calming. "It's okay. come on , shhhh" Manny tried calming the distraught girl as he closed the metal door behind them as they left the basement. However she only became worse , beginning to hyperventilate. "Shit" Manny mumbled sitting the girl down against the door to the basement. "What's happening?" Lucy spoke as she saw the two , Jess beginning to get worse. "I don't know , i think she's having a panic attack" Manny spoke in a quick manner , rubbing the crying girls arm trying to calm her down.
"Simon , come quick!" Lucy yelled for her brother , he had often helped her and JJ with their panic attacks. A clamper of footsteps was heard , Simon's lanky figure appearing next to Lucy's , a shocked but calm look on the boys face. "Let me sit" He spoke , Manny moving away from the girl so Simon could sit in front of her. "Listen , Jess , you're okay , i'm here , no on is going to hurt you - you're safe"Simon's voice was calm , his hands grabbing at the girls shaking ones. The teary blue eyed girl looked at Simon , sobbing out "I-i killed h-him-h-he had a-a family , a l-little girl" The trio were silent before Simon scooped the girl up in his arms , pulling the girl in his lap , shushing the girls cries.
"You're safe now" Simon mumbled staring Manny in his eyes. The girl was broken. They needed to keep her safe at all costs.
