This was is. After all that suffering, after all those lies, after everything...

Spinel was on the line with Pink Diamond herself.

Her mother...

The one who told authorities she was "Rose"....

The one who left her in the garden for a business....

The one she loved dearly more than anyone...

Spinel was a nervous wreck, but knew what she was doing was extremely important and she needed answers, right here and right now. She was silent at first, feeling emotionless at the moment but also pretty nervous.

"Hello? Who is this?"

"Hi Mom...it's me....Spinel..." Spinel said quietly into the phone. "You know...your daughter...."

It was silent for a few seconds. Pink didn't expect this call and especially not from her daughter. Like everyone thought she was dead, she wanted Spinel dead. And that's what she thought happened when she left Spinel in the garden. She thought she stood there long enough obediantly to probably die of starvation or thirst or lack of sleep. Spinel waited patiently for her to say something. She had all the patience in the world right now and had many questions that she needed Pink to explain. "I...I don't have a daughter. Sh-she died years ago." Pink said on the other line to try and cover up everything. But she knew exactly who she was. She just didn't expect her to be alive at the moment.

"Mom you can stop now...I know what you did. I know everything you intended and the things you've done. I''m not dead. The Diamonds found me before that could happen...though I wish it did. I'm not mad you mom. I just want answers..." Her voice cracked. "Tell me about your intentions when you left on business. Tell me if the car accident was really an accident, who knows, you could've done it on purpose. Tell me about daddy... Tell me everything...please...I want to know...I need to...everyone does...."

She heard a defeated sigh from Pink. This was it. She was prepared for what Pink was going to tell her. Some things she might regret hearing and it would scar her for the rest of her life. "Ok...ok...you caught me. Rose and I were close friends, Really close. We might not have been childhood friends, but we knew each other well. Me and her always planned to move away and start our own business...it was our goal."

"Where was dad...did you ever tell him your plans?"

"Your father...he never intended to leave you Spinel. He loved you dearly, probably as much as I did. The things I said about him leaving when I was pregnant with you? It wasn't true. I told him my plans. But he didn't agree with them...and we had an arguement because I chose work over family. Then he left...but he wanted to come back...He wanted to come back for you..."

Spinel's eyes widened. "He...he wanted to come back for me? What happened?!"

"...when he came back you were around 8 months old...But then it led to a whole other arguement which...which led to a fight. and you were on the floor, playing with your toys and things. Spinel I didn't want him to take you away from me. So I grabbed a gun, but to prevent you from getting hurt, he knocked it from my hands. You were close to it and picked it up. I kept telling you...to give it to me....but...." Pink paused, her voice sounded hurt from the memory. But she didn't need to finish it.

"....I shot him, didn't I?" Spinel's eyes teared up at the thought.

"Yes...you did..." She said as she sighed. "But it wasn't your fault. You didn't know what you were doing and accidentally pulled the trigger...and it hit him. And...he died from it..." spinel tried to hold back tears. And Pink could tell how much her daughter was doubting herself for the incident. "You were just a baby...it wasn't your intention."
