"A prank that included wasting a whole bag of PERFECTLY good M&Ms..."

Ah yes, our favorite couple. It hasn't been too long since the official kiss of the couple. Merely 2 days, and those couple of days weren't thesame as the days before. Spinel acted more like a cute lil' baby, making Steven feed her just because she was childish, which he didn't mind considering he found it cute. The duo felt as if they were free from life's struggles: Spinel had her mom off her mind for a while and Steven would never have a depressed moment. If anyone says this isn't the cutest thing ever...
Well, let's see what can make it cute enough for ya-

Right now they were back in Spinel's backyard, mostly talking about Spinnys onion-m&m prank- along with if Steven is ever gonna let it go- or just talking about random things in general. Spinel was still trying to convince him that it was a harmless prank while he pretended to be mad about it (which she knew, it was all part of the fun).
"Come on doll....you can't stay mad at me forever," she whined as she wrapped herself in his jacket. "You know I was kidding~"

Her fellow companion rolled his eyes playfully. "Sorry, but out of all the jokes and pranks you've done on me, that was the stupidest. I actually have no words for that. I can't comprehend WHY you did it, what gave you the idea to do it, and what kind of drugs you were on for you to bite into an onion...a raw one. You say you're sober, but I don't know if I can believe that."

"Well this is what happens without my daily dose of alcohol. And how was I supposed to know it wasn't a shallot?! A shallot and onion look like identical twins to me. Just like Siamese twins, you just can't tell 'em apart."

"Either way you know it's dumb as hell to bite into either one...But I'm pretty sure I'll see you do worse since we're together now. Pretty sure biting into an onion isn't shit compared to what you've done in your life, right?"

Spinel chuckled and smiled. "Yup. I'm the dumbass you fell in love with. Hey I never asked...what was your first reaction when I told you how I felt? Did you accept it because you're nice? Or did you accept it in the spur of the moment without thinking?" She could feel herself panicking again, but knew she was just overexaggerating. Now that she was in a real relationship- not just a week or 2 lasting one- for some reason she started wondering if Steven liked her for real. Which was a definite yes, but we all know how high school relationships work. Get together, argue, break up, get back together, repeat. Maybe this was gonna be one of those. Or it would be genuine and last forever.

"I wouldn't say yes just because I was nice or it was just the first thing on my mind. Unlike with Connie, I actually felt something with you. And even though it was only a kiss that that made it official, what else was there to be said? That's my reaction right there. A good one. Otherwise I wouldn't have kissed you, right? If you're worried about something, don't be." Steven reassured her, bring a sense of security over the pink-haired teen.

"Heh.." she sighed in relief. "Alrighty, doll. I'm trusting it." She got closer to him, with only around an inch interval. "But for real though...what street is Canada on?"

"Spinel if you ask me that one more damn time-" He muttered with a sigh. Sometimes he wondered how low a human's IQ could get with a question like that. But he smiled at it though. This is what he gave his life to, no regrets. "Actually...it's on this street called the Canadian-American border. Maybe we should check it out one day."
