I felt like writing something like a preference, but for one of them, so I hope you guys like it and don't mind for the change in normality.

Steve Rogers Gets Jealous

You and the rest of the Avengers were all at Tony's for a 'party' of sorts. Tony was all up for drinking and getting wasted and probably going off with a girl, or two, but Steve was quite the opposite. He actually couldn't get drunk, and probably wouldn't get wasted anyway knowing him, but he definitely didn't want you to either. Steve was quite a protective boyfriend, but not overly, only involving your safety. This meant he didn’t really like you drinking or partying at all. Especially with Tony. For some reason, known to everyone, every time Steve and Tony talked to each other there was tension - mainly when it involved you. Tony was your best friend and it really angered Steve, but not in the usual way. When Steve got angry he went silent, like a sad golden retriever, and wouldn't talk to you until you were practically begging. He hated to see you upset and after a big argument, when you were crying, he forgave you so quickly. But that wasn't what it was like at the moment. Whenever you went out with Tony it was usually partying, which upset Steve. He was angry that he couldn't do everything that you wanted do with you, he hated to see you anything but happy. There was a part of you that suspected Steve could be jealous of you and Tony but what could he be jealous of? He is Steve Rogers aka Captain America. He's loyal, kind, gentle, handsome, has a beautiful personality and just basically the nicest guy ever. You could never cheat on him, not that you would want to - you were completely in love with him.

By about 11.30 Steve wanted to go home, Natasha, Clint and Thor all agreed as well. Natasha and Clint were expecting a mission soon so they didn't want to be tired, and hungover, if they were called up soon, and Thor wanted to spend as much time with Jane as he could, before he had to go back to Asgard. Bruce currently lived in the tower so he didn't have to go home, but he did want to go to bed. Steve stood up and you sighed before getting ready to go as well. Tony stood and said "Hey, Y/N do you want to go out to the new club round the block? I don't really want to go to bed yet, and I don't think you do either." You quickly spun to Steve "Babe, you wouldn't mind if I went out with Tony, would you?" Steve's jaw tightened and he sighed before asking to talk to you privately. "Tony, hold that thought for a second will you? I just need to talk to Steve." You rolled your eyes, so that Steve couldn't see but Tony could, before following Steve out of the room. "What's up Steve? Do you not want me to go out with Tony?" You asked after he'd shut the door. "No I don't want you to 'go out' with Tony." He said angrily, although you could tell he was holding back some anger. You looked confused "How come?" He looked at you incredulously "How come?! How come I don't want you going out and drunk with Tony, yet again? Hmmm, I wonder why I’m not enthusiastic about that idea." You took a step backwards and your mind was reeling. Is that what this is about? Does he think you would get drunk with Tony and end up sleeping with him? You were furious, how could he not trust you enough to not sleep with another man?! Especially Tony! "Listen Steve, I would never ever sleep with another man! How can you trust me that little?! I love you and you know that! I would never cheat on you, and definitely not with Tony! He might be my best friend, but that's it, I don't want to have sex with him!" By the end of your little rant you had tears beginning to run down your face. Steve looked even angrier than before. He reached out for you and you flinched backwards. His face dropped immediately. "Y/N..." He whispered, looking down at his hand "I wasn't going to hit you, I would never do that." His face was devastated, which annoyed you - how could he be upset when he had just accused you of wanting to cheat! "Well you what?! I just can't trust you enough to believe that!" You stormed out of the room, knowing what you had said was a low blow. "Come on Tony, we're leaving." You grabbed your bag and followed Tony out of the tower, pausing to shout back to Steve "Don't wait up for me!"

A while later when you arrived at the club, Tony was asking about what had happened. He got the feeling you didn't really want to go clubbing, so he took you to a quiet bar instead. When you got there, he sat you down for a drink and got you to explain everything that had been going on. Unlike Tony, he sat and listened for the entire story, not making a single sarcastic comment. "Well Y/N from what I've heard Steve is just missing his girlfriend. We have been going out together a lot recently. Look at it from his point of view, as a boyfriend he wants to give you everything you want and he can't get drunk so he can't come out partying with you, so you go out with the guy he hates anyway. You don't come until about 1 or 2 in the morning, drunk and babbling on about stupid things we've done, and then Steve has to clean you up and tiptoe around in the morning, until a few days later the whole process repeats." You nod suddenly realizing how Steve was feeling, although there was one thing you didn't understand. "What do you mean 'hates anyway'? Why does Steve hate you?" He chuckles a bit and explains "He doesn't really hate me as such, just what I do. He's all about loyalty and teamwork, and following the rules, whereas I had a different girl every night, before Pepper, and I like working by myself, and I don't exactly follow all the rules, do I?" It's your turn to laugh "Does Pepper mind us going out?" He thinks for a minute "Now, she's the CEO she has a lot of trips away, so she likes me having something to do while she’s gone, and she knows she can trust you to not let me get too drunk and go off with some girl. But I don't think she'll be upset if we stop."  You stand up and hug Tony tightly "I've got to get home, I have some apologies to make." He nods before asking if you want a lift. "I don't think that'll help the reason I'm going home."  He smiles before telling you do be careful as you walk home. You only lived 2 blocks away so it wasn't a long walk.

When you arrived home you quietly opened the door and crept in silently. You walked into the living room, about to flop onto the sofa and work out what to say to Steve in the morning, when you noticed that the lamp was on. Steve was sat on the sofa, with his back to you, head in his hands and you could hear a snuffling sound. You quickly realized he was crying. Steve Rogers was crying because of you. You felt awful and immediately dropped you coat and bag, rushing to his side. "Y/N? What are you doing back so early?" He wiped his face, trying to not let you see him cry. "Steve, its ok you don't need to hide your tears." He lifted his head and looked at you. "Where's Tony?" You hung your head in shame "He's on his way back to the tower. I'm so sorry. I didn't realise what you’d been feeling, and Tony helped me to see it. Please forgive me, I've been a terrible girlfriend."  Steve was crying again by then and so were you. "No, no don't cry it's not your fault. It's mine, I couldn't go out with you - I couldn’t give you everything you wanted." You cut him off and started speaking again "Stop! If you could drink then you wouldn't be the super soldier you are, you wouldn't have become Captain America back in the 1940s and you wouldn't be here today. So I never would have met you and..." You trailed off looking at your lap. Steve put his hand on your chin, lifting your head "And what?" he asked softly "And fallen in love. I love you." you replied plucking up courage, you hadn't said 'I love you' to each other yet. You waited anxiously for his reply. "I love you too Y/N." You smiled and threw yourself at him, he pulled you to his chest and set you on his lap before kissing you passionately. "I'm sorry, but now I’m back to you." you said pulling back from the kiss. "I've got my girlfriend back now?" He said grinning from ear to ear. "Yes, yes, yes! I love you and I am not leaving your side for a party, or Tony, ever again!" He kissed you softly before lifted you up in his arms and carrying you into the bedroom, much to your surprise. He laid you on the bed, before laying his body over the top of yours. He kissed you neck and you began to moan. He quickly pulled his head up and whispered "Remind me to thank Tony." You giggled before pulling his lips to yours...
