CASE NO. 3: CASEY JULES
At approximately 8:00 PM July 4th 20XX, the body of Casey Jules was found at Cape Freewell's namesake Cape during the firework celebrations. An autopsy report from the Duoma County Coroner's office suggests that foul play was involved. Bruises were found on the victim's wrists and ankles, evidence that she may have been tied up prior to her murder. One of the victim's front teeth were missing when the body was discovered. Evidence suggests that there had been water in her lungs, making it impossible to breathe. The cause of death was officially determined to be drowning.
Phone records taken from the victim's phone shows that she had been in contact with an unidentified man named Robert and met him June 15th. The texts and calls stopped June 29th. The next day, June 30th, Casey Jules was officially reported missing by her older brother, Ethan Jules.
The phone of "Robert" was tracked and found in the waters off of the southern coast of Cape Freewell Beach. Searches for fingerprints and data have been inconclusive.
The supposed murder of Casey Jules, another tourist visiting Cape Freewell, shows similar qualities to both the June 3rd 20XX case of Jodi Hillman and the July 20XX case of Maya McKinney.
Strange similarities between evidence of these two deaths would usually suggest that the perpetrator may be the same in all cases. However, Jung Wooyoung was found guilty for the murder of his long-time friend Jodi Hillman and sentenced to twelve years in prison. At this moment in time, it is considered possible that the murder of Casey Jules was committed by an accomplice of Jung Wooyoung.
Possible suspects in the Casey Jules case have yet to be determined.
Further investigation is in progress...
