CASE NO. 4: CARLA EVANS
At approximately 9:30 AM August 10th, 20XX, the body of Carla Evans was found in one of the showers in the Cape Freewell Public Pool by local resident Levi McKinney and Officer Park Seonghwa. Both of the witnesses claim to have received suspicious phone texts luring them to the pool.
An autopsy report from the Duoma County Coroner's office suggests that foul play was involved in the death of Mrs. Evans. Bruises were found on the victim's ankles, evidence that she may have been tied up prior to her murder. One of the victim's incisors were missing when the body was discovered and the jaw was almost completely disconnected from the rest of the face. Similar to previous cases in Duoma county, the victim's lungs were found to be bloated and full of water. The official cause of death was announced to be drowning despite other bodily injury.
Phone records taken from the victim's phone show that she had been in contact with an unidentified man named Robert and another local man named Jarrod Washington over the span of four months. Evidence suggests that the victim had met up with both of the men, separately, at several points in time. Searches for fingerprints and data at the scene have been inconclusive.
The lead suspect in the case is Jarrod Washington with whom the victim had been engaged in an affair with for four months. It is on record that he has previously engaged in violent, irrational behaviors and drug usage. He has since been arrested for the murder of Carla Evans, admitting his involvement in the affair but denying any responsibility for her death. At this moment in time, Mr. Washington does not have a solid alibi.
Possible suspects in the Carla Evans case include Jarrod Washington and the unidentified male 'Robert'.
