Nana was coming out of the house hurriedly I glanced down to see aria unconscious

"no no no, aria wake up." I gathered her in my arms and slid off the equin i laid Aria down her head in my lap. "Aria you've gotta wake up." I patted her cheeks her brows twitched but her eyes didn't open

"Thaneios what in the world is that?" nana shrieked pointing at the huge creature mournfully sniffing at aria's feet

"no time nana, she's hurt." nana spots the girl in my arms and comes to a full stop to glare at me

"The one time you bring a girl home and this is how you do it thaneios." I felt color rise to my cheeks i just gave her a look

"Not the time nana, she has a head injury." my grandmother huffed and shuffles back towards the house quickly

"Come quickly then, set her on the dining table, the beast stays outside." a growl came from behind me and teeth caught at my shirt. I turned to look at fei.

"It's okay, I just want to help her, you can watch from the doorway." he seemed to hesitate before releasing my shirt. I marched into the house and laid aria out on the table. I was startled when I pulled back and the arm I had under her back was coated in red. My nana froze at the sight of it.

"You brought a terren into my home?" she demanded I raised my hands

"She is only half! She is half ahni too." her brows furrowed and she seemed to consider something

"After I treat her she will be put in the barn with her beast." I opened my mouth to protest but nana shot me a sharp look "you will not defy me thaneios, now help me get this jacket off her."

It took a while to patch up the long cut in aria's back neither of us had noticed and nana determined she had a mild concussion she laid on the table in just her tattered tank top and pants i could see the same vine like markings curing around her arms, just like the ones on her face. I reached forward to trace one when my nana spoke

"What do you know of the ahni and the terrens?" I yanked my hand back and my grandmother eyed me expression blank.

"The terrens are a warrior race and the ahni are peacemakers." I stated my nana raised a brow at me "and a terren killed my parents." I spoke quietly as if Aria would hear me. My nana nodded appeased by my answer.

"Even half terrens are violent thaneios, you must be cautious of this one." she warned I looked to the girl on the table. She didn't seem like she would hurt anyone, even disorinted she was calm and she had only been honest with me so far.

"Okay nana." I said, still looking over the girl's features. I could feel my grandmothers stare on me.

"Good take her to the barn before her beast breaks through my wall."
