Grounder | An Anya Love Story

Recap

Turning back to Anya I leaned into her again as she pulled me to one of the tents tears streaming down my face.

3rd Person

She sat in the tent Anya went to talk to Lexa not knowing how long ago but that didn't bother her. All she could think about was Finn.

Laughter and small feet hitting the ground filled the air as adults of the Ark watched the two children race down the hall "Finn wait up." 

"Common flower it's almost time we have to be there." The smaller of the two children lagged behind as her friend rounded the corner. Hearing a small ompf the blonde haired girl ran faster to get to her friend finding him on the ground with another person. 

"Finn, you need to watch where you are going." The small girl completely bypassed her friend helping the kid he ran into up. "Are you ok? I'm sorry for my friend he doesn't watch where he is going." The two girls heard a soft hey come from the boy behind them. "We are going to watch the sunrise would you like to join us?"

The dark haired girl looked nervous before seeing the smile on the blondes face "Yea I'd love to. I'm Raven" she introduced herself. 

"I'm Maria and this is my friend Finn." The two girls gave each other a beaming smile before helping Finn up. 

The first thing flew out of the blondes hands without even realizing there was something in her hand. She let out a scream before falling to the floor.

There was a knock on her door, but all she could see was the blood on her hands, and the floor, and everywhere she looked there was blood. She was sobbing trying to wash it off with a towel. Her father would kill her if he saw this mess. Her eyes made their way over to the limp figure in the room - her father. Panicking, her hands were shaking as she picked up the phone attached to the wall. She dialed the number the doctor gave, her instantly being connected to the medical center. "I need to talk to Abby Griffin." her voice was shaky and in noticeable distress. "Please it's an emergency." The knocking on the door never stopped. 

"This is Doctor Griffin how can I help." 

"Abby." The girl paused letting out a sob "I need your help. he, he did it again and and I." She couldn't get a sentence out before her crying became to much. 

"I'm on my way."  The next couple of hours were a blur to the young girl. They took her father away and tried to take her away to but Abby wouldn't let them. The only person who Abby let near her was Finn, who as soon as he was able to grabbed her hand and never let it go. Every time someone tried to take her away from him he would let out a scream. Abby kept the two kids by her side as she fought for the small girl telling them it was self defense making sure she got put with someone who would take care of her. The two children fell asleep on the floor during the council meeting neither of them letting go of the other. 

Anya made her way back to the tent with Lexa both girls watched as their friend cry. 

"Finn you're crazy you cant do that." The blonde hissed at him as she quickly fallowed him down the corridor.

"What else can i do for her."

"I don't like a million other things. But you can't use the oxygen like this Finn."

"Yea well you can't stop me." He spat back at her before leaving her to go find his girlfriend. The blonde slowly made her way back to her adoptive fathers chambers waiting for Finn or Raven to come see her. After about two hours Marcus rushed into the room.

"You need to come with me now." Not giving her time to answer he was already out the door. The teen didn't even put her shoes on before she fallowed him out of the room rushing down the hall to the point where Finn and Raven were. Her eyes locked onto her friends one who was in cuffs and the other who looked scared. As soon as Raven saw Maria she rushed into her arms accepting the comfort that her friend could give her. 

"What is going on her what did he do." She spat at the guards holding onto Finn waiting for his order.

"He went on an unauthorized space walk wasting 3 months worth of oxygen." Maria sucked in a sharp breath. There was no way she could get him out of this, no way no one would get him out. All she could do was hold Raven as they took the two girls best friend away from them, and hope that when his birthday rolls around he would be spared. But they are never spared.

Maria stood off the ground ignoring the questions falling from Anya and Lexas mouth as she made her way out of the tent. Her eyes landed on Mark who was tied to a post. "What is he still doing here." She spat at the man who once claimed to love her. 

"The Commander told us to tie him up for farther questioning." A random guard told her. Anger consumed her and all she could see was red again. Mark isn't important he is a monster. Her fist hit his face, and unlike with Clarke no one tried to stop her as hit after hit met with his face. Blood was falling off his face in every direction. No one knew how to react with Maria like this, never seeing this side of her before. All told she was ruthless in training but never seeing it first hand. 

The man she was hitting stilled awhile ago but she didn't care all the hate and pain she was feeling towards him, Clarke, Lexa all came forward leaving Maria to not care that she just killed him.
