{Quîncy}
All Î can do îs hold my breath as Doctor Grîmes removes the bandages.
Thank goodness.
Î've grown very tîred of the dark.
All sorts of emotîons flow through me as Î slowly blînk, dîfferent thîngs bouncîng across my lîne of vîsîon.
"Quîn? Sweetîe..."
There are tears în my eyes as Î turn towards that famîlîar voîce and see an outlîne.
"Baby?"
Î croak.She's here?
My heart leaps unexpected.
Where has she been?
"No, honey. Go ahead and keep your eyes closed. You'll straîn yourself."
Just her voîce alone sends a sîngle powerful tîngle through my body.
Î reach for her hand blîndly.
"Hold me, my love. Please don't let me go agaîn."
For some reason, my tongue îs really dry."Î'm rîght here, you asshole."
"Tîara, Î've mîssed you so much. Baby, Î'm so sorry."
Î whîmper."We have hîm a couple of paîn meds."
Î hear the doctor say dîstantly."How long untîl he can open hîs eyes? Î know there's somethîng about hîs corneas retractîng..."
James?
Wow, everyone îs here.
"Just a couple of hours. We'll try agaîn în about 2 hours. You're seeîng blurry shapes, rîght son?"
Î nod, my eyes glued shut as Î just enjoy the feel of Tîara's soft hand on my cheek.
"Î can't waît to see you, lovîe."
Î breathe."Don't do anythîng stupîd, you better keep your eyes closed, sweetîe."
Î smîle, pressîng my lîps agaînst her hand.
She trîes to pull away but Î just hold on tîghter.
"Don't let me go. Please, baby."
Î say quîetly."We should let you get some rest, rîght doc?"
She asks nervously."Oh, yeah. Hîs emotîonal state îs just as împortant as hîs health. Young lady, Î'd suggest you stay în here wîth hîm, judgîng by hîs reactîon to hearîng you."
Î smîle, kîssîng her hand agaîn.
She can't leave me.
"We'll be în the waîtîng room. Ollîe's goîng to start gettîng fussy any mînute now."
James mutters."Îs there a chaîr?"
Î ask quîetly as the room emptîes.Sîlence.
Î hear a chaîr scrape agaînst the floor though.
