There is a pleasant smile on his face when he opens the door.

"Hi, lovie."

I tuck my hair behind my ear, nervously rocking on my heels.

"Hi."
I say quietly.

His eyes scan me slowly, his smile dropping when his eyes land on the bouquet of daffodils in my hand.

Panic flickers across his face.

"Did someone die or something? Was it stupid Leo? Thank God."

"What? No! Here, these are for you."
I say awkwardly, holding them out.

He narrows his eyes suspiciously.

"Sticks, eh? I supposed they'll look absolutely perfect next to the fireplace, yeah?"
He mutters, taking them from me slowly.

I just stare down at the ground, folding my arms behind my back.

"Come in, come in."
He coax softly, already turning.

I take a deep breath.

"So what's the special occasion?"
He asks, setting the vase on the stand next to the fireplace.

He was right, it looks perfect.

I take a while to answer, only because I'm too busy looking around.

He redecorated the whole place.

"No occasion. I guess I just saw them and thought of you."
I say quietly.

He tilts his head a little.

Silence stretches for a moment.

"Come here, I want to show you something."
He turns before I can even blink.

"Okay."

He's acting weird.

I pause and back track when we past one of the usual empty rooms.

Puck is in there watching tv.

"Puck, come say hi to mommy."
I almost jump out of my skin as he says this right by my ear.

The little monkey comes scurrying up immediately.

"Hi, baby."
I can't help but smile.

I miss him so much.

He absolutely loves it when I cradle him in my arms like a baby.

I look up when Quincy sighs.

"What?"

"Nothing."
He mutters.

I roll my eyes at him, rubbing Puck's little belly.

It's so smooth and comforting.

"Come on, its just next door."
Quincy nods towards the door.

"What's up with you?"
I ask, reluctantly setting Puck down.
