"Hi-"
I can barely greet him before he's pulling me close.

"Come here, baby. Where the hell have ya been?"
He groans, crushing me to his chest.

"Oh, just here and there. Mostly there."
I mutter, taking comfort in his welcoming arms.

"I've been thinking about you all week, lovie. Couldn't sleep knowing that you were halfway across the country."
He whispers.

"I'm home now, sweetie. Oh, I missed you so much, let me look at you."
I giggle, cupping his face in my hands.

He's so handsome.

"You're as handsome as ever, cutie pie."
I soothe, slowly kissing his lips.

I can't help but melt a little as he wraps his arms back around me.

His lips taste like sweet and sour sauce.

"Mmh. Really?"
He whispers, absentmindedly nibbling on my bottom lip.

"Yes. So perfect."
I breathe as he slowly rests his hands on my ass.

"How lucky am I to have such an amazing girl, huh?"
He grins like a dork, a tender look in his eyes.

"Alright alright, enough with the cringy love stuff. God, you're going to make me puke."

I can still feel his eyes on me as Ruby walks through grumbling under her breath.

"There's no 'hey, Ruby. How the hell are ya?' Nope. Just 'oh baby, I miss you so much, here let me kiss you and grab all on your ass in front of company'."
She mutters to herself, making her way to the kitchen.

"What's up with her?"
Quincy snickers a little, giving my ass a little squeeze.

It just reminds me of our special night the day before we left.

I bite my lip, tugging on his collar.

"Long flight, that's all."
I whisper, my eyes eagerly taking in how sweaty and jacked he's looking.

Must have just got home from the gym.

"Want to cuddle by the fireplace tonight? It'll hit 28 degrees by 9."
He soothes, moving away slowly.

I plop down on the couch with a tired sigh.

"As lovely as that sounds, I already promised the girls we'd do something tonight."

He groans immediately.

"Oh, come on. You just got back to me."
He complains, folding his arms.

"I know, baby. We can spend as much time together as possible tomorrow, how does that sound?"

He sighs.

"Fine, I suppose. When do you go back to work? There is hopefully a break, right?"
He asks.

Puck comes skipping up.

"Hi, baby."
I coo, laughing a little as he jumps up on the couch and does a little roll my way.

"Oh yeah. I'm off for another 3 days. Maybe 2, depends on if they need me or anything."
I shrug, cradling Puck in my arms.

When he doesn't say anything, I look up.

He has a frown on his face.

"What is it, baby?"
I sigh.

He stuffs his hands in his pockets.
