{Tiara}

I hum to my music as I grab a basket.

Gia silently watches as I set her inside, reaching back in the car to grab my purse and umbrella.

It'll rain soon.

God, I love the rain.

Just not while I'm grocery shopping.

Everything is peaceful when it's pouring, sometimes when I'm feeling a little down, I take a stroll through the park when it's raining.

I don't know why but it cheers me up.
I can think straight.

I try not to think about how lonely I was for Valentines Day.

I was so excited to finally have someone to spend it with but just when things were going good, everything stopped at the worst time of year.

And of course it's all my fault, I deserve to be as lonely as I am.

I have to keep reminding myself every time I see a happy couple.

"Here you go, sweetie. Auntie Tee doesn't want you to get fussy, yes?"
I coo, dangling Gia's little bear in the air.

She makes her adorable little noises, reaching for it.

I sigh, watching her hug it close to her chest.

Babies are so cute.

I'm a little upset that I wasn't around to see Ollie at this age.

He must have been just the best little baby to be around.

I smile after that thought.

We haven't been able to spend that much time together since Christmas break ended for him and he had to go back to school.

Maybe I can stop by this weekend and take him to the new park on 5th street.

I passed it on my way to work, I just couldn't believe the hot construction workers have finally finished building it. It took months.

I just know that he'll love the rock climbing wall.

I rub my tired eyes as I walk around, trying to hold both the basket handle and my grocery list without it getting all crumbled up.

I haven't been out of the house in days so I take my time admiring the rows of back to school supplies.

Ah, the memories.

I guess that I'm paying too much attention because I don't notice my list slip out of my hand.

I only notice when I turn the corner and reach to mark off the sugar on my list and it's not there.

"Excuse me."
I turn around immediately.

A man is standing there, a small smile on his face.

"Hi, um. I couldn't help but notice that you dropped this a minute ago."
He says, holding up my list.

I blush immediately as our eyes collide.

His eyes are brown.

"Oh, um. Thanks."
I say awkwardly, looking away.

"No problem, ma'am. Just being a good Samaritan. I just moved to town a couple days ago. And may I say, you are the prettiest woman I have ever seen."
He says shyly.

I can't help but give him a second glance.

He's a blusher.

It's a little cute.
