Dedicated to my wonderful best friend! I couldn't come up with some of my story ideas without her ;)

________

Drip... drip.... drip drip.

With every annoying, incessant drip of rain outside his window Itachi's charcoal eyes slightly narrowed. He turned to look outside and instead of meeting with the sight of rain large, confining metal-gray bars stopped him from seeing any of the outside world. He'd been in here so long that he'd practically forgotten what the outside looked like anymore. His alternative for sunshine was the bright fluorescent lights and boring white walls that cornered him into this complete hell hole. And let's just say that the continuous groans and shrill screams outside of his room truly made him feel like an insane person. But would a sane person really question their sanity? According to everyone that ever knew him, it wouldn't be far from the truth. Him being crazy that is. He really didn't know what to think anymore, his brain was in a constant slight fog from the buzz of drugs that he didn't even need. He made a small mental note to quit taking them to assuage the numbness.

Most times, he thought that not going out and socializing with the other patients here was a good idea. He stayed to himself. There were a few weirdos here that definitely took the icing off the cake, so to say. The gray-haired man across the hall from him was probably the most dangerous. Itachi noticed that every time someone went by, the man would press his face up close against the glass of his door and laugh maniacally as people went by. He would then proceed to scream, 'Lord Jashin will get me out of here! Then I'm coming for you all, you fuckers!', then proceeded by another very creepy laugh. Thankfully, the homicidal maniac wasn't permitted out of his room, and if by chance he was to get dragged out by the staff, he'd be in a straight-jacket just so he couldn't harm anyone.

Hidan was a crazy fucker. Hellbent on destroying anything in close proximity of him. Before he was brought to Otogakure Sanitarium, he had murdered over a thousand people in cold blood. When he was caught he had told the authority's that, his 'Lord Jashin' asked for sacrifices. The guy was a total nut case.

There was also the guy with the long blonde hair, that kept his left eye covered by a white bandage at all times. Apparently, he was brought in because he tried to blow up a whole city with a man-made bomb. Though he targeted the place he was previously employed at first, stating that they fired him and would pay for their mistake. He got off on his charges after his boss Nagato told the police that it was his own fault, and that the bomber had a mental disorder which caused him to attempt the bombings. Whether that was true information or not hadn't been proved. And now, even though he was in Otogakure, he still made small bombs from the random objects he found lying around. He'd even killed a few staff members trying to get out a few times. He was permanently in a straight-jacket, for very obvious reasons.

There was also a man named Sasori, rumors that floated to Itachi's ears as he walked by the chatty nurse's station stated that he was a man of few words. Before they brought him in, they had found out that he was going around abducting people on the streets for his experiments. He'd make them into dolls or something and called it art. The only reason he was found out was because the putrid smell was finally starting to circulate on the outside, they had investigated and found numerous body parts and bones around his property.

He couldn't count the number of insanely, dangerous people in this place on one hand, or even both hands. However, he could take into account that he was the only sane one here, and more than likely the only innocent one here. Most of these patients were criminals, this hell the only one that could handle them. Sadly, Itachi was wrongly convicted. His own family had betrayed him, well, what was left of his family anyways.

See, his relative, the one he no longer claimed anymore, Madara Uchiha had massacred his entire clan. He blamed it on Itachi and even came up with some false evidence that made it look as if Itachi had killed his clan. Now, Madara was nowhere to be found and he only had one living relative left on the entire planet. Sasuke Uchiha, his younger brother. After their mother and father were killed, Sasuke had inherited everything, considering Itachi was no longer 'sane'. He inherited the money, vast amounts of it, and the family estate and businesses. He was now the very wealthy CEO of Uchiha Enterprises. You would think they would have changed the name because of the incident that occurred five years ago, but Sasuke had spread the rumor that Itachi had committed suicide because 'he couldn't come to terms with what he had done to the clan'. Since Itachi was ensnared in the hell hole he's in now, Sasuke looked like the sad little brother who had lost his whole family, but had rose and rebuilt a beyond successful empire. To this day, Sasuke hasn't visited him once.

Itachi was brought out of his thoughts by the loud commotion going on outside his room. All he heard were some grunts from some people who sounded like they were in pain and someone yelling, "You dumb fucks!! Let me go, dammit!!" Then another grunt.

He swung his legs over the side of his bed and into his white slippers. When he walked over toward the door and looked out the glass he saw a woman in the middle of the hallway in her casual clothes. What was so interesting about her was that she was beating up the guards and staff members with a night stick that belonged to someone on the aforementioned staff. Her stance looked fierce as she knocked a member of the staff in his face and onto his ass.

"I'm not going to stay here again, you hear me?! Get the hell away from me!!" A guard lunged for her waist with both of his muscular arms, but instead of grabbing her and restraining her like he had planned to, he grabbed nothing but air as the woman swiftly moved to the side and swept his legs out from under him, causing him to land on his back on the floor with an 'oomph' and a wince. But she didn't stop there, oh no. She raised the weapon up in the air with both hands and came down extremely hard on the fallen guard's abdomen. Resulting in a loud crack and him grabbing at his ribs and rolling over in pain.

The woman's face never changed from the fierce expression she was giving at the beginning of all of this. She had knocked every guard and staff member that came at her on their asses, most of them unconscious. She grinned and then her threatening aura went away, and as if she felt someone staring at her, her piercing eyes landed on Itachi Uchiha. They stared at each other for a few split seconds of silence before an enormous guard grabbed her from behind, holding her in a vice grip, and taking the weapon from her hand. She kicked and squirmed, but to no avail. Itachi's gaze then landed on the approaching two nurses and the owner of the asylum walking right in the middle of them.

When Orochimaru and the nurses made it to where they were at a stop and standing in front of the woman, the woman spit in Orochimaru's face. He laughed and wiped the spit off his face with his sleeve before speaking to her, "Don't worry, [Name]. You're home now. We'll take care of you, like always. Welcome home." He chuckled loudly and then motioned with his hand to the nurse at his right. She stepped forward with a syringe, pulled up the woman's shirt at the hem and stabbed her in the hip.

Moments later, [Name]'s eyes glazed over and she started slipping to the ground, if it weren't for the muscular guard holding her up, she would have hit the floor pretty hard. Her last words made Itachi especially interested in the whole ordeal, so much so that he couldn't help but to smirk as he watched them carry her away to her room on down the hall.

"...Fuck....you....bitches...."

      Interesting, indeed.
