« FIGHT! »

Miyuki leapt down into the fighting space, crossing her arms and staring across at Ino.

The blonde girl looked overly confident, a spark of what could only be called determination in her eyes.

"Uchiha Miyuki vs Yamanaka Ino," Hayate announced. "Begin!"

Miyuki quickly blocked the immediate punch that Ino sent her, face blanking as they engaged in a taijutsu battle. The Uchiha simply activated her sharingan, easily able to see her next moves.

Miyuki winced as she dodged, realising she wasn't as flexible as she thought when she practically snapped her back in two whilst evading a kick.

Ino leapt back, hands forming a few seals.

"Suiton: Raging waves!" She shouted, expelling a constant stream of water from her mouth. Miyuki was thrown backwards from the huge wave, hitting her head and dizzying herself on the wall.

As Miyuki caught her breath, reminded of the unpleasant experience that was very nearly drowning, Ino took the moment of weakness to her advantage.

"Shintenshin!"

Instinctively, Miyuki put up a mental block with as much chakra she could muster into her head. Ino faltered a little when her jutsu failed to work, but instead made a couple more hand signs.

Miyuki felt like she was being held in place. Her arms and legs felt heavy, as if they were carrying weights. A pressure was felt around her neck, and she began to choke at the feeling.

Ino launched herself forward, grinning.

Miyuki smirked.

"You can't put a genjutsu on an Uchiha, Ino-chan. Release!"

Appearing behind the blonde, Miyuki grabbed her arms and swept her feet out from under her, throwing her to the floor.

Ino made a move to get up but was stopped by a kunai to the neck, making her wince.

After five seconds, Hayate rose an arm. "Yamanaka Ino is immobilised. Uchiha Miyuki proceeds to the next round!"

Removing the knife from the girl's neck, Miyuki held up her hand to help Ino up. She took it gratefully, smiling sheepishly. "Guess it's just that hard to beat someone as strong as you."

Miyuki's cheeks reddened at the compliment, instinctively going to scratch the back of her head as she laughed it off. "Maybe."

It's not like she was gonna insult Ino by telling her she was holding back, when Ino tried her best to win.

Going back to their respective places in the stands after forming the unison seal, Naruto tackled her, hanging off her arm.

"That was so cool, 'ttebayo!" Naruto exclaimed. "She was like pow and you were like whoosh!! And then you swept her off the ground and it was awesome!"

Miyuki giggled, waving him off. "Thanks, Naru-chan!"

Naruto blinked, face turning unexpectedly red for a moment before he grinned. "No problem!"

"Good job," Sasuke congratulated quietly. Miyuki smiled.

"Thanks, Sasu."

Kakashi sent her an eye smile, which Miyuki promptly ignored.

"Oh, it's that crazy guy," she mumbled as Gaara made his way down to the arena, smiling creepily. "Poor Lee."

Naruto cheered Lee on and told him to kick Gaara's ass, which Miyuki silently agreed to.

"Begin!"
