Kakashi stood at the base of the KIA stone, repeatedly tracing over his best friend's name.
Two boys entered the ground, bags under their eyes and a flower each in their hand.
His eyebrows raised.
"Hey, Kakashi-sensei," Naruto whispered weakly, circling the stone. His eyes landed on something and his face crumpled. "Who are you here to visit?"
He paused. "Ah. My best friend, Obito."
Sasuke froze. "Uchiha?" He asked for clarification. Kakashi nodded softly. "As in, M-Miyuki's big brother?"
Kakashi stiffened and looked up. "What?"
"..Miyuki had two big brothers," Sasuke said quietly. "Shisui and Obito. And Shisui's alive, and M-Miyuki said that her brother was on the stone."
Kakashi nodded slowly. He'd have to ask about that next time he saw her. He had run into Shisui the other day, much to his complete and utter shock. "...How about you two?"
Both stopped and looked up at him in shock. "You don't know? What kinda sensei are you?!" Naruto exclaimed angrily.
Kakashi blinked in surprise.
Sasuke put a hand on Naruto's shoulder to restrain him, clearing his throat.
What he said next made Kakashi's heart stop altogether.
"We're here to visit Miyuki."
No.
No, no, no, no, no.
This can't be happening.
Please.
No.
He failed.
He failed again.
He failed Obito.
"Miyuki?"
Sasuke bit his lip and reached into his pocket, taking out the note and passing it to Kakashi.
'I'm sorry Kakashi.'
(You didn't do anything wrong.)
He failed.
(It wasn't your choice.)
He failed Obito.
(Why did I do it, then?)
He failed Miyuki.
(I-It's all my fault..)
He failed them.
(Stop blaming yourself.)
(Having a person to blame is the easiest way to cope.)

Short chapter today.
I spent a whole four hours doing one chapter that I'll be releasing once this book is over and it's barely even 1500 words smh.
This book is getting complicated oo
