Miyuki grinned slyly, nudging Kakashi silently with her elbow. "Sasuke has a cruuuushhh~" she sang, winking at the red faced boy.Sasuke sputtered, blushing bright red. "Do not!" He yelled. "She's so annoying! I don't like her!"
"If you keep lying your tongue will go like Orochimaru's," the girl giggled, poking his cheek. Sasuke rolled his eyes, scoffing.
"I asked Itachi about that and he said it wasn't true."
Kakashi stifled a laugh.
Smirking, Miyuki put her hands on her hips. "Oho? You believed me in the first place, then?"
Sasuke stammered. "I didn't- N- What?! N-No!"
"Uh huh," Naruto snickered. "Sureeeee. Just admit it! She likes you back, y'know."
Sasuke kicked his shin, making the boy let out a yelp in response. "AGh!"
"How would you know that, anyways, dobe?" Sasuke sneered. Miyuki muffled yet another giggle, hand over her mouth.
"It's so obvious! You know she had a crush on you in the academy, don't you?"
Sasuke went red again. "I knew that! Why would- Why would she tell him that though-"
"Miyuki!" Someone called. Said girl turned, tilting her head. Sasuke and Naruto began arguing, playfully punching eachother and Miyuki made no move to stop them.
"Oh, hey!" Miyuki smiled. "Do you need something?"
Rin sheepishly smiled, rubbing the back of her neck. "I asked Shisui to come by earlier but he probably forgot or something. Would you mind picking up some stuff for me later? I'm kinda busy."
Miyuki gave her a knowing look, smirking. "Oh? With whom?" She asked, a teasing grin on her face as she leaned forward with anticipation. Rin rolled her eyes, ruffling the younger girls hair and pressing a list to her chest. "I'll get it for you, then. Have fun~"
Miyuki shared a look with Kakashi, the former's smile dropping as her eyes flashed red. "YOU TWO!" She yelled, grabbing the backs of Naruto and Sasuke's heads. She bashed them together, the two letting out yelps in the process.
The dark aura around her diminished, a sweet smile on her face. "I'll go get this now," she informed Kakashi, gesturing to the list. He nodded, hand moving to his pouch to retrieve his favourite book.
"Be careful."
::
"Ah!"
Miyuki blinked, arms and legs shooting out to grab the rapidly falling books, using chakra to balance them. "Sorry, Aunt Mikoto!"
Mikoto laughed it off, thanking her as she took the books back. "Thank you, Miyuki. I'm afraid I wasn't watching where I was going."
"Well you couldn't, exactly," Miyuki rose an eyebrow. "Your books were up in your face. Do you want me to help?"
Mikoto's eyes shone with amusement. "I'm a little insulted. I know you enjoy helping old people but I quite hoped I was on the younger side."
"Auntie," Miyuki sweatdropped. "Alright, I'll let you carry it on your own then."
The ravenette flicked her forehead, giving her a disapproving look. "Shisui was asking me to bring these down to the cafe."
Miyuki's eyebrows rose as she peered down at the books, jaw dropping. "No way! Your recipe books? Auntie, you're a legend!"
Mikoto laughed it off sweetly, scratching her cheek. "It's nothing. I've got most of them memorised anyway."
Miyuki snatched them from Mikoto's arms, making the latter Uchiha sweatdrop. "I'll be quicker than you can process!"
She body flickered away, leaving behind a confused looking Mikoto.
"Mom?"
"Oh, Sasuke-chan! I was just going to prepare dinner.."
::
"Miyu's back, morons!" Miyuki cheered, setting the books down on the break table. "Look what Auntie gave me!"
Shisui glanced backwards, grinning. "Her brownie recipes in there?"
Miyuki shrugged. "Look through them. I gotta bring these home to Rin-nee, so I hope they're not doin' the dirty or something."
The curly-haired boy chuckled, flicking her forehead. Why'd everyone like doing that to her so much?! She pouted.
"They're not. Obito-nii's not home."
Miyuki groaned. "Nee-chan's gonna get sick of not seeing him someday."
"Hurry on, Hime."
"See ya!"
::
"I'm home!"
"Welcome home, Miyuki," came Rin's voice from the kitchen. Miyuki hummed, skipping over and setting some bags down on the table. She looked over at Rin, jaw dropping.
"Are you making dango?" She asked excitedly, hanging onto Rin's arm. The woman shook her off, rolling her eyes.
"Later," Rin admonished. "You'll spoil your dinner."
Miyuki whined. "Damn!"
"So~" Rin drawled, grinning. "Tell me about Sasuke's crush!"
Trust Rin to want in on the gossip.
Eh, Miyuki couldn't blame her. She sat on the counter, swinging her legs as she recounted what happened that day.
"-and then Sasuke went all red and-"
"Breathe, Miyuki."
"Then Sakura ran away to tell Ino that she scored a date, which made Sasuke make this weird-ass wheezing sound like the one Nii-san makes when you tease him."
Rin giggled, covering her mouth with her hand. "Oh my. Who knew little Sasuke was awkward?"
"You think Nii-san is awkward?" Miyuki rose an eyebrow. After a pause, she shrugged. "Huh. I guess he is."
"...He really is."
"I'm home!"
"Welcome home," the girls replied in unison.
Obito kicked the door open to the kitchen, an elated smile on his face with his cheeks flushed red. "I- I oh my kami-"
Miyuki smirked, raising her eyebrows. "What's up, Nii-San?"
"Girls!" Obito clapped delightedly. "Good- Good, where's Shisui?"
"You called?"
"God's sake, Nii-chan!" Miyuki shrieked, hand over her heart in shock as she fell into Rin's arms. "I told you to stop doing that!"
"Sooo~" Shisui drawled. "What did you need me for?"
Obito bounced on his heels, eyes shining with a bright grin plastered across his scarred face.
"Minato-sensei wanted to talk, right?" Rin blinked, tilting her head. "Tell us all about it."
Obito opened his mouth but Rin shushed him, eyes narrowed. "Over dinner."
Miyuki cheered, racing over to set the table. Obito twitched, rolling his eyes with a fond smile as he sat down in the kitchen chair. Shisui followed suit, a curious look on his face.
Rin quickly served the meal, urging Obito on as they began to eat. "Well?"
Obito inhaled slowly, seeming to attempt to process his words before blurting them out.
"Minato-sensei wants me to be the Godaime Hokage."
Miyuki choked.
