After Nia managed to introduce Sebastian to the majority of her family, the two of them made up their plates and sat at a table with Keith and Lauryn along with a few second and third cousins some of which kept their suspicion filled eyes on Sebastian.

"I love that your family is so big." Sebastian says with a smile. "Since it's always been just my mother and I growing up, I never got to really experience big family gatherings like this."

"I guess it is nice." Nia says. "I hated this kind of stuff growing up..."

"Really?" Sebastian asks surprised. "Why? It seems like a lot of fun."

"I've always had horrible anxiety and being among the chaos and being around so many people gave me anxiety attacks but as I've gotten older I've learned to overcome it if that makes sense."

"Absolutely, I totally know what you mean." He says eating more of his food.

"Keith, this barbecue is the truth man, this is some good food." Sebastian says.

"Thanks Man." Keith chuckled. "I'm glad you're enjoying it."

"Keith and Uncle Mike always hook it up at the cookouts." Nia says as she sips on her drink.

"Hey Nia?!"

Nia looked up and saw her Aunt Patty and her Aunt Sylvia approaching their table, both of them with a bowl of potato salad in hand. Nia instantly knew what was coming once she saw the potato salad dishes.

"Hey Aunt Patty and Aunt Sylvia..."

"Do you think we could borrow Sebastian's taste buds for a moment?" Says Aunt Sylvia.

"Of course," Sebastian says standing up and facing the two Aunts.

"Can we see your plate?" Aunt Patty says as the man lifts up his plate. Both women gave Sebastian a scoop of their potato salads and Nia was hoping he wouldn't dig his own grave in this situation.

"Okay, can you please do us a favor and try both of those potato salads and let us know which one you like best?" Asks Aunt Patty.

"I don't know...they both look delicious, you're putting me in a pretty thought spot." Sebastian says making the women laugh. He sat down with his plate and tried both potato salads like they asked of him and they sat anxiously waiting for an answer.

"I'm so sorry...I really can't choose, you ladies both make an amazing potato salad, thank you so much." He says as the two of them grin at each other before looking at Nia, giving her a thumbs to indicate that they liked Sebastian.

"Oh my gosh I didn't think he was going to survive that one..." Lauryn said making Nia laugh as Sebastian looked between the two of them confused.

"Sebastian, they always try to get somebody different with their potato salad at these cookouts...it's practically tradition, I know for a fact they tried to get you because you're the new guy on the block but you passed the test."

"That was a test?" He asks as his cheeks flash a shade of pink.

"Aww babe don't be embarrassed they do it to everyone. They got me last Christmas." She said giggling.
