"Sebastian...they've been in there for 45 minutes..." Nia whispers. "I'm worried."

"Don't be...I have a healthy feeling you've won this one Nia." He whispers back. "Just stay positive, you're going to win this."

"I'm so sorry I dragged you into all of this...really, I am." She says.

"Listen Nia, people like him deserve to be locked up for what they've done. All the pain he's caused you, all the things he's done to you are not okay. You deserve your freedom Nia, do you hear me?" Seb says making Nia nod and look down at her hands.

"Trust me on this...everything is going to be okay." He whispered caressing his thumb gently over her hand. Without another moment to spare the jury came from the jury room and everyone took their seats once again.

"Has the jury reached a final verdict?" Asks judge Matthews.

"We have, your Honor."

"What say you?"

"We the jury, in the case of Ms. Nia Harris versus Mr. Derek Boston, find the defendant guilty of the charge of Harassment and Aggravated assault and we agreed that Ms. Harris should be granted a permanent restraining order against Derek Boston."

"Thank you, Jury, for your service today. Mr Derek Boston since you have been found guilty, you will be serving 5 years in prison for Harassment and Aggravated assault without parole, and you are being fined $4,000 for violating the temporary restraining order." Says the judge. "Ms. Harris, I am granting you the permanent restraining order, Derek Boston is not allowed to come within 300 yards of you for any reason. Following Mr. Boston's release from prison, violating the order at any point in time could result in further disciplinary actions under the law. Court is adjourned."

"I'm so proud of you!" Sebastian smiles hugging Nia tightly as soon as they made it back to the apartment complex.

"You did amazing Nia, I even bought some celebratory champagne!" Seb says excitedly.

"For what?"

"To celebrate your freedom." He smiled taking Nia's hand in his. Suddenly her smile began to fade.

"Why aren't you excited?" Sebastian asks confused.

"I-It's nothing..." she sighed as Sebastian followed the woman into her apartment. As soon as Nia stepped in she was nearly tackled by her pup as he ambushed her with kisses.

"My Duke...how are you buddy? You wanna go out?" Nia says getting the dog hooked up to the leash.

"Nia, what's the matter with you? You're acting weird..." Sebastian says. He wasn't quite used to seeing Nia silent and angsty, the Nia he usually got was sassy, bubbly, and happy.

"It's nothing Sebastian..."

"Nia...you know you can talk to me right?"

"Well you know what Sebastian I just need a minute to get myself together, I would appreciate it if you just backed off for a second." Nia says taking a different tone of voice with the man. Sebastian's eyebrows furrowed with confusion, he just couldn't seem to wrap his brain around the sudden mood change he'd just witnessed from Nia.

"Wow okay...well you know what Nia, If you want to talk maybe have a drink, you know where to find me." He says before letting himself out to head back to his own apartment.
