"Celeste..."

"What's wrong boo?"

"I need to get out of here..."

"Well you know that's not happening for one more day, I don't know why you think telling me is going to change anything." Celeste says with a grin.

"I'm starting to lose my mind...I want to go home."

"It's only one more day sis...Besides you still need help moving anyway." Celeste says making Nia frown. "I know you want things to be normal, but...it's going to be a little while before things are relatively normal for you again, a pelvis fracture is very serious. In most cases pelvic fractures can be more debilitating than a hip injury."

"I think what sucks the most for me is that the surgeon said Physical Therapy wouldn't be a good idea...so it's going to suck having to figure things out for a while." Nia sighs.

"What should I do about Duke?"

"I don't know girl, maybe Sebastian or Chris would be willing to help you out?"

"Haha...Very funny." Nia says rolling her eyes at Celeste.

"I'm being serious...I swear I wasn't trying to be a bitch..."

"Well both of them are going away Friday for filming projects, so those two are out of the question, you work a lot...so I'm just going to have to figure out a system until I can walk unassisted."

"Or just hire an aid or a dog walker..."

"I'm not hiring an aid Celeste..."

"Can Lauryn help you?"

"I don't know, now that Leanna is older I think she started going back to work recently." Nia said.

"Nia, I know you don't want to but you're going to have to hire somebody..."

"I'll have to figure something out..." Nia sighs.

"Everything is looking good so far though Nia, just remember you need to be practicing on your crutches too...I know the wheel chair is easier, but if you ever want to walk normal again you have to try them." Celeste sighs feeling bad for her friend.

"Okay Mother." Nia said making Celeste smile.

"I'll be back in 45 minutes, I'm being paged." Celeste says getting up and rushing out of the room. As soon as Celeste left Nia huffed and looked around the empty room.

"Who's not busy right now..." Nia says whipping out her phone. She didn't really have many friends to begin with, so she scrolled through what little contacts she had in her phone to see if anyone would be available to talk. She ended up not wanting to talk to any one else she saw in her contacts anyway.

She hit the 'S' category and saw Sebastian's name. She knew she had no business calling him seeing as they have come to an understanding...in this case you could call their little understanding a break. It was Nia's idea to take a 'break' and she was deeply starting to regret it. She kept replaying their conversation in her mind...

Flashback
Sunday, 2:30 PM

"Hey you, I'm here!" Sebastian says entering the room around his usual time.

"Hey Sebs..." Nia says.

"You know, It's weird not seeing you around...Thursday needs to come faster, I miss you..."

"Miss you too..." Nia says as Sebastian goes in for a kiss. He was careful to attach his lips to hers and pulled away when he realized Nia wasn't as invested in the kiss as he was.

"What's wrong baby?"

"Nothing..."

"No...it's something...you haven't been kissing me the same recently...what's really wrong Nia?"

"I don't know Sebastian..."

"What is it that you don't know? I'm confused."

"I just...I don't know if we should be together right now..."

"Nia..."

"Sebastian listen...I really care about you..."

"And I care about you just as much..."

"But, I just think for now we should take a couple steps back...You've got your acting career you need to focus on, and I need to basically teach myself to walk properly again, and especially after all the drama we just went through I think we owe it to each other to keep things simple for now..." Nia says with a sigh.

"What is simple supposed to mean?" Sebastian asks with a look of confusion plastered on his face.

"I think we should take a break..."

"Oh..."

"But, we can still be friends of course!" Nia says trying to rescue herself from what she just said. For a moment Sebastian looked at his hands and didn't say anything.

"Sebastian?"

"Yeah?"

"How do you feel?" Nia asks.

"I guess you could say I'm feeling disappointed that we're taking a break...all I can think about is the way I feel about you which is what hurts the most." He says standing up to leave the room.

"How do you feel about me?"

"Call me crazy, but I Love you Nia...I just do...I fell so hard for you so fast...and I still Love you the same, but you just want to be friends right now and I'm willing to accept that..."

"Sebastian...I'm really sorry...it's not you, it's me..."

"It's okay Nia, I understand that you don't feel the same way towards me right now...I still Love you anyway...I'll be back Thursday to take you home, until then hang in there. Call me if you need anything." Without another word Sebastian left the hospital room.

Nia sat in her wheelchair, a frown appearing on her face when Sebastian left the room. At this moment in time Nia realized she kind of broke Sebastian Stan.

"Yeah...I should definitely leave him alone right now..." Nia whispers scrolling further down.

Nia kept scrolling until she saw another familiar name in her letter 'S' contacts...Stephan. She hasn't contacted the man in years, not since before she got married to Derek. He probably wasn't even living in the state of New York anymore, but giving him a call was worth a shot.

Nia clicked on Stephan's contact and clicked the FaceTime button and began waiting on an answer. When the top of the screen read 'connecting...' Nia's heart began to race.

"Hello...Nia?"

"Hey..."

"I haven't heard from you in years...umm how are things? Are you in the-"

"Hospital? Yep." Nia says shrugging her shoulders.

"Are you really still going through it with Derek Nia?"

"Oh God no...I divorced him..."

"Oh...well what are you doing in the hospital?"

"It's a really long story Stephan, and now I kind of feel weird for calling you now..."

"Why?" He asks.

"Because I got lonely and decided to take a leap of faith by giving you a call...you still in New York?" Nia replies.

"Yes, but you still haven't answered the question...why are you in the hospital?" He asks one more time.

"It's a long story." Nia says with a sigh.

"Well, I have time."
