CHAPTER 10

Faith walked outside after work with a relieved sigh. Next to her car was Alex giving her a friendly wave.

“You really need to stop popping up randomly, Alex.”

       “Sorry. Just need to talk.”

Faith raised an eye. “Okay…What is it?”

“You need to be careful. Adrian is on lock down and so am I.”

       “What?”

“Connie and Melissa are trippin ‘bout us now that you’re back.”

Faith rolled her eyes. “They seemed friendly at the party. What happened?”

Alex rubbed the back of his neck. “Melissa brought up…the past.”

Faith let out a sigh. She had a feeling Melissa wouldn’t take the news of Nathanial and Natasha too well. “I remember a time when you hated me. At this point I wish you still did. Things change, I guess.”

“People change,” Alex responded, hoping Faith remembered this deja-voo moment at the pent house.

Faith smoothed back her hair and looked at Alex. “Look, I gotta get home. Need to get dinner started…you know.”

“Oh, okay. Um, I’ll see you around?”

“Only if I know and not a surprise,” Faith smiled.

“Deal,” Alex smiled back watching Faith drive away.

“Missed me?” a voice said into Natasha’s phone.

       “Who is this?”

       “Dashawn. From the party.”

       “How’d you get this number?”

“Your brother gave it to me. I told you I’d find your number.”

I’m going to kill Nathanial. “You’re such a stalker.”

“I’m a stalker now? New level for me then. When can I have the title of your boyfriend?”

“Dashawn, I have homework to do,” Natasha sighed.

“Tsk, tsk. Stop lying. I’m standing at your door looking at you dance.”

Natasha turned around and saw Dashawn hanging up his cell phone. “How the hell did you get in here?”

“Watch ya mouth,” he joked. “But real talk, I’m staying over for dinner and to hang with Nathanial. Your mom said it was okay.”

“Oh God,” Natasha said with a roll of her eyes. She looked at Dashawn who was looking at her in her pink tank top and purple shorts. “Why are you looking at me? Shouldn’t you be playing some game or something?”

“No. Nathanial doin’ solo play right now. And aren’t those shorts a little too short?” Dashawn inched closer to Natasha until her back was flat against the wall.

Natasha looked into Dashawn’s eyes as her heart raced. “I’m in my house clothes, if you didn’t figure it out.”

“Damn,” Dashawn growled. “Feisty and stubborn. That’s sexy.” Natasha swallowed hard, still looking at Dashawn. “If your house clothes are that revealing, it makes me wonder what you sleep in.”

       “Keep your dick down, pervert.”

Dashawn laughed. “Still being stubborn. I know you feeling me.”

       “No I’m not.”

       “Oh really?”

“Yes really. Can I have some room to get off the wall, please?”

Dashawn grabbed Natasha’s waist bringing her against his body. “Why don’t you like me?”

“Because, I just don’t, okay? There is no way I would-”

Dashawn cut off Natasha’s sentence with a kiss. They paused and looked at each other with smiles. “Looks like you liked that.”

       Natasha blushed. “So?”

       “So this…”

Dashawn smiled and kissed Natasha’s lips again. They kissed as their tongues met each other. Dashawn hands traveled down her hips as Natasha’s arms wrapped around his neck, fading into a dream-like state.
