Y/n's POV:
Dahyun and I went back inside as the first rumbling of thunder crack from above. We head downstairs and saw the others talking and chatting with each other.
"Guys, pack up, were leaving" I said as I descend from the stairs
"Too soon? But Y/n, rain is coming, its hard to go outside" Miggy said from the couch
"Exactly" he shot me an eyebrow "we can't stay here, the zeds picked up our scent and by the time it rains, they'll already be knocking on the doorsteps" I said and the others started packing up
Huh? That was fast
Dahyun must have noticed about it "told yah" she goofily said "you may not know it but they look up to you as their leader now" she said smirking, walking away, joining the others packing.
"So... where are we heading?" Momo asked
"You'll know on the way" I said a bit unsure where we are absolutely going.
"Its done, all packed up" Chaeyoung said giving me thumbs up.
"Right, lets load them up to the bus" I said as the first droplets of rain hit through the roof, and before we knew it, it was raining.
We hurried towards the door "Alright, let's make this quick, Dahyun, Tzuyu" I called and both heads turned to me "the two of you, cover us while we get to the bus for any incoming zeds, got it?" They both nodded their heads as they readied their crossbow and rifle. "The rest, run straight to the bus"
The door opens and the nearby zeds caught attention to us. The first one snarled at me but an arrow went through its jaw and exited on the other side of its head as it drops down to the ground. I turned to Tzuyu and mouthed her thanks
A shot ring through the air as another zed went through the ground. Good thing the rain is loud enough to masked the loud shot.
"Go go go!" Miggy opened the bus door as the others load the baskets into the bus's compartment.
We waited for Tzuyu and Dahyun to arrive as I close the door shut.
I counted everyone to make sure that we are all complete. My heart skip a beat as I only counted ten. I counted again thinking that I might have just missed a head and the number 10 pops up again.
Dahyun started the engine "buckle up!" "Wait!" I cut her off "we are missing one!" I said and the others looked at each others head, looking for who.
"Shit" I mumble as I head out the bus "keep the bus idle"
The heavy droplets of rain had me soaking wet before I reached the door again and went inside with an axe at hand.
"Jihyo!" I called out making my voice echoed through the large halls.
No answer
"Jihyo?!" I called out again
I went through the office and there was still no sign of her.
I sigh in annoyance on where could that girl be. I went through the restrooms and and went inside the girls room to which I would really regret later.
I opened the door slowly "Jihyo?"
My eyes widen in shock as I saw her slumped down in a corner with blood coming out of her wrist, dripping into the white tiles.
"Jihyo!" I rushed to her and took of my shirt and wrapped it around her wrist to stopped the bleeding.
She stir her head awake and looked at me with weak eyes "Y/n?"
"Yeah it's me, hold onto me, I'm getting you out of here" I said and she suddenly pushed me away "No! Leave me alone Y/n, I want to be alone, I- I can't take this anymore!" She cried as her tears started to stream down her face "I-I can't Y/n, I just can't, I want to die..."
"STOP SAYING THAT OKAY?!" I spat at her and she was a bit shock from my outburst "You are selfish you know that!? You..." I pointed at her "you think you're the only one going through all this shit? Have you even thought that me and the others have it all easy? You are wrong Jihyo. We are all living in this hell together. Behind those smiles they gave is the bitter truth they have to accept that everything is never gonna be the same again. We all are Ji, we are all scared shitless of what the world has become outside, not just you." I tell her face to face as she did nothing but to look down at the floor.
"Now tell me, tell me if ending your life right here, right now, is gonna make the world a bit better? Huh? You have no idea Jihyo. Your only thinking about yourself, you even have no idea what I'm feeling right now. I know you hate me that much and I gladly accept it. You just make my life even more hellish than it is" she started crying, covering her face with both hands.
"Then why are you doing this? You should hate me, you should be angry at me, why do still care?" She ask
"Because we're a family now Jihyo, whether you like it or not, we are in this together, we look out for each other. They need you Jihyo, trust me, they do. We all are." I said as she suddenly hugs me tightly, squeezing the air out of me, while crying in my chest.
I rubbed her back to calm her down "I'm so sorry Y/n, I really am, I should've known"
"Its okay Ji, just let it all out" we stayed like that for a moment and I suddenly remember that the others are still waiting outside.
"Jihyo, we should go now, they're waiting" I felt her nod in my chest
"Can you stand?" She shake her head no, I guess the blood that she loss made her weak.
I carried her onto my back giving her a piggy back and I head out of the room with an axe on my right hand and the bloody naginata she used to cut her wrist on my left hand.
I slowly walked back into the hallway carrying her carefully for her not to slipped off my back while keeping my balance firm.
On my way back to the others, I noticed a bright green goo on the floor. Curiosity hits me as I approach and examine the substance.
It let out a stench odor and its giving out a puff of smoke and a sizzling sound.
A lowly growl was heard overhead as I slowly looked up to see a zed slowly crawling above like a spider, with long legs and arms and a busted jaw that reveals the sticky green gooey substance dripping off of its mouth.
In my own perspective, it looks like a spitter and hunter combined in one body, but with longer legs and arms like a horse.
It let out an earpiercing shriek and snarled at us. It landed on the floor in its four with murderous intent sprayed all over its face, ready for its full course meal.
Jihyo stirred her head on my shoulder "Y/n? W-what is t-that?" She frighteningly asks me and all I could do was shake my head "I don't know..."
I slowly backed away as it started crawling slowly towards us, like a tiger stalking its prey.
It started circling the both of us until it got us cornered on the wall.
"Y-y/n... if we... are g-gonna d-die to-" "save it... no ones gonna die today, not now, not ever" I cut her off while I tighten my grip on the axe.
