DOTD #19

Y/n's POV:

My left shoulder aches badly, especially with Miggy sleeping soundly on it.

Earlier, when he woke up, he was crying like a kid lost in a mall when he saw me. He hugged me tighter, not even letting go of me until he fell asleep. Now he snores loudly.

The bus weave through the streets with dead cars, with dead people still on it.

The street was silent, with only the roaring engine of our bus was heard.

I could see normal people inside buildings, looking at us through the glass.

A sudden bump made the bus jerk up. Miggy groaned, finally waking up.

"What was that?" Nayeon ask, scared of what she think it is.

"Just... a Zed..." Dahyun sheepishly said in front.

"A "Zed" huh? cool name" Jeongyeon said from the back

"I just made that up" Dahyun replied

"Zed sounds way more easier and simple than zombies" Chaeyoung said

"Yeah, I agree with her, I'll call them that from now on" Jeongyeon said pointing her bat at Chaeyoung

Then a whirring sound was heard again. We all rotate our heads to where the sound is coming from.

Then the next thing we knew is that it was already overhead.

"Attention civilians, stop the bus immediately and exit the vehicle or we will shoot, I repeat, stop the vehicle or we will shoot"

"Dahyun, pull over" Jihyo ordered but Dahyun said "I don't think so"

Even though we wanted to, we can't since the damn noise coming from the helicopter attracts hordes of them coming from the left side.

"Step on it ~hyun!" I said as she sped the bus.

We all fall back to our seats.

Then the helicopter started shooting in an immense amount of bullets, the glass behind the bus shattered, the bullets went to the roof making large holes.

Screams where heard from inside the bus as Dahyun did her best to drive the bus in a zigzag pattern to avoid the bullets and lose the helicopter.

The helicopter is flying too low to the ground that the noise it makes attracts even more zeds.

Zeds started to fall from the building, landing on the helicopter's rotor blades making it spin out of control.

"Dahyun!" Chaeyoung screamed and Dahyun gets the message.

Dahyun speed the bus once more, not minding of hitting cars and zeds along the way, the helicopter behind us crash in an intense explosion

The girls screamed harder.

The bus was still running, we let out the air that we were holding, heavy breaths exchange throughout the bus.

"Everyone okay?" Jihyo called out

Nods and okays were heard but one grunted.

"Ahh.. argh.. I'm not" we turn our heads to Chaeyoung, he held her right shoulder and she was bleeding.

"She's been shot" Mina said as she takes off her jacket. "Here, keep it compressed" she said covering the wound with it, preventing the blood from gushing out and Chaeyoung complies, grunting in pain.

"Is there any exit wound that the bullet might have pierce through?" Dahyun ask from the front while focusing her eyes on the road.

Mina looked at Chaeyoung's gunshot wound "No, there's no exit wound, the bullet is still inside"

"We need to get that bullet out or else it might cause infection, I'm stopping over to the nearest pharmacy here" Dahyun said

Mina nodded "I'm on it" and she help Chaeyoung up and lead her to the backseat and laid her down.

Chaeyoung then slowly takes her clothes off with Mina helping her, leaving her in a violet sports bra.

"Sorry boys, but girls only" Sana said and Miggy and I turned our backs and headed to Dahyun.

"So, where is this pharmacy?" Miggy ask and Dahyun pointed her fingers to a half opened building

Shit...

3rd Person POV:

Mina traced her fingers in Chaeyoung's bleeding wound.

"How bad is it?" Chaeyoung ask her girlfriend

"The bullet hit your shoulder blade, missing your heart a couple of inches, you'll be fine" Mina reassuringly said to Chaeyoung as she smiles.

Both of them staring for the meantime.

"Alright, that's enough lovebirds, I got some alcohol here from Nayeon" Jeongyeon said ruining the moment, earning a smack from Nayeon in the shoulder.

Jeongyeon just snickered.

Chaeyoung hiss from the mention of alcohol.

The bus came to a halt as Dahyun walks from the front.

"We're here, we're gonna grab some stuffs and be back, you guys better get that bullet out" Dahyun said as the three of them went out.

Dahyun, Y/n, and Miggy.

They went towards the pharmacy with full caution, watching out for zeds nearby.

They went through the broken glass doors, shattered glass scattered throughout the floor, Dahyun face the two "we're not the first ones here, keep your eyes peeled" she said as they tiptoed through the glass, shards splits under the soles of their shoes.

It was dark inside and Y/n found the switch and flipped it open. The lights revealed four zeds wandering around aimlessly, all of them duck at the same time.

They need to plan this perfectly.

Back at the bus, Mina pulled out her Kunai and doused it with Nayeon's alcohol, Chaeyoung watched in fright at the dagger.

Mina notice Chaeyoung's uneasiness "Chae, it'll be over quick, this might sting a little" she said as she thrust the tip of the blade into Chaeyoung's wound.

Chaeyoung let out a piercing scream "yahhhhh!!!" attracting the attention of the zeds inside the pharmacy.

Dahyun look at both Y/n and Miggy with worried look

"I guess that's the plan then" Y/n said as he swung the axe of to his shoulder and charge to the nearest zed to him.

Dahyun grab a large shard of glass from the door and also charge to the nearest zed to her.

Miggy shook her head as he unsheathed the machete from its metal casing, he sighed "I didn't sign up for this shit"

A/n:

Heyya guys, sorry for not updating for a couple of days since I tend to update my other books, especially "Savages" as it is now completed. Now I will focus on this book and "Swing".
