Jihyo's POV:
I stir my eyes around and nothing but darkness was seen. It was evident that its still early in the morning.
I got out of the bed and carefully tiptoed out of the bedroom, not wanting to wake someone up.
I head downstairs and someone was already awake before me. I peeked through the kitchen to see Jeongyeon preparing her own cup of coffee.
After she's done, she turned around and gasp in surprised.
"Goddammit Jihyo! Did someone told you that sneaking up on people is bad??" She whispered scream while putting a hand to her chest. Luckily, the coffee didn't spilled.
"Hehehe... sorry, I didn't mean to" I giggled sheepishly "Anyways, you woke up early which is unusual. Everything okay?"
She hummed a response while sipping her coffee "How 'bout you?" She asked back.
"Yep, everything is all fine" I said adding a bit of a sarcastic tone in it.
She chuckled "Can't argue with that" she replied as she sat down the couch in the living room while I also prepared myself a cup of hot coffee.
"Everything is so fucked up huh?" Jeongyeon muttered with a bitter chuckle as she shook her head.
I stop what I was doing and stare blankly at the wall in front of me.
I get what she meant, the world is really is not what it used to be. It is not the world we knew it was, that world was long gone.
But I still cling onto that tiny hope that we can still turn this chaotic world back to its living glory days, where everything was still fine, all was well.
I hope the government are planning something.
If there was still government, that is.....
But I believe that there's still hope, a chance, even if its a one in a million chance.
I finished making my coffee as I joined Jeongyeon on the couch. We both sat in silence until she spoke up.
"This is bugging me for awhile... but was it the right choice for them to leave?" she said with a slight concern in her voice
"What do you mean?"
"It just that, I have this uneasiness feeling inside me, my gut doesn't like it"
"Well, Tzuyu proposed the idea first, and we really need it, we can't continue living like this"
"Yeah, I can see that. I could even tell that your not wearing something underneath. Your nips are totally visible from your shirt" I glared at her
"Yoo Jeongyeon, do you want me to smear this hot coffee all over your face?" I threatened
"Jeez relax, I was just kidding!" She retorted, a bit annoyed.
After we are done with our coffee, I turned to her "Hey Jeong, since its still early in the morning, wanna do a perimeter check?" I asked as she shot me an eyebrow
"Perimeter check? Jihyo, this place is isolated and well hidden. There's no way on earth a zed could find this place"
"Well you can never be too carefree, its better to be on guard always, besides, just think of it as an early morning exercise, a jog into the woods" I said trying to convinced her with the exercise stuff since she's an athlete and a baseball player.
