Chapter 19 - epilogue

We woke up both around 7:00 Am Rud or Johanna weren't awake yet. Tobias and I were used to having not that much sleep. When we came into the diner room the breakfast was already there. We decided to wait another 30 minutes and if Rud to Johanna wasn't awake then we would start. In the meanwhile, I grabbed a basic outfit out of my closet and changed. When I was finished I comb my hair and did it in a ponytail. After a half-hour, Rud or Johanna wasn't there yet to Tobias and I already started eating. We talked a bit about going home. We had to miss each other but in the winner's vile in every district the houses all had our own phone so we could call every day. When we were almost finished Johanna came. Still in her pyjama's but she didn't seem to care that much. Then Rud came also. He asked or we were ready to go home. The train would leave at 11:45 exactly. I started packing my stuff. Although I didn't have that much with me. I think I received here more things than I brought. I received loads of flowers. Even teddybears and things. Rud said I also could take the clothes home that was in my closet like the arena outfit. I kind of liked the outfit still, but I would get way too much horrible memories if I would wear this. I would keep it in my closet. I grabbed Al's pin out of my arena clothes and did it in my pocket. I was ready to go home. 

At 11:00 AM a car would bring us to the train station. In the time that we rode a lot of people waved to us and things. When we arrived at 11:30 at the train station the train was already there. We stepped in and at the train station, there were still loads of people waving us goodbye. I saw on Tobias's face that he wanted to laugh because of all the weird outfits and wigs everyone had. At 11:45 the train left. I grabbed my bag and went to my cabin and packed my stuff out. I would be longer on the train then Tobias. In the train we didn't have that much to do, we played some games, ate, watched some tv. The only thing that was on the television were reruns of the game. So we only watched television when the news was on or something because rewatching the games was like way too horrible. Every mealtime Rud said that we couldn't eat that much because our stomachs were still used to the games and during the games we didn't eat that much. I still wanted to eat like many things, but I noticed by myself too that my stomach wasn't used to so much food. The nights on the train I still shared a bed with Tobias. I still had the nightmares. After some days we arrived in district 7. Johanna seemed really happy to be there again. Tobias a bit less. He was really happy to see his family and Peter's again, but he would miss me. Rud was with us and said: ''Well you are really lucky that I already have Tris her phone number.'' He wrote it on a note and gave it to Tobias. Tobias thanked him. I said:'' I'll call you as soon as I arrive and I wish you so much luck in the month that we won't see each other. Oh yeah and give my regards to Peter! Love you'' ''Love you too'' Tobias gave me a small kiss. He stepped back and the door closed. The train was about to leave. I kept waving to them. 1 minute later the train left. I still had to be 1,5 day in here. At least I wasn't alone. I had Rud. Rud explained that every winner had like a new talent. He helped me find mine. I really liked making things like scrapbooks. The train had all the things I needed like: A hardcover notebook, pens, pencils,  markers, something to print pictures. glue, stickers, magazines. I started making my first scrapbook of the hunger games. The hunger games I survived. Rud helped me a bit. I was really busy with it. It was nice to have my mind on something else than the horrible things of the games. Yes, the scrapbook is about the games, but only the good things about the games. Like the interviews, the training. I made a page about every tribute, even though I only know I few of them. 

During dinner, I could finally eat more than the last days. In the evening Rud and I played some games and things. That night my bed felt really empty because I was laying alone in it. Didn't really noticed how big this bed was. That night I think it was something like 3:00 AM I woke up all sweaty and Rud was standing in my room and asked what was wrong. I think I've screamed and that woke Rud up. I said:'' You can go back to sleep. I think I had a nightmare. This is the first time I had one since I've left the arena. I think it's because Tobias isn't here with us.'' ''Sweetheart, there is nothing to be scared of. You're safe now. It happens often that winners have nightmares a couple of days after the games. They will be gone in something like a week. Now go back to sleep. Tomorrow around 8:00 AM we'll arrive at the train station. Try to sleep something, goodnight'' ''Goodnight.'' And I went back to sleep again.
