Chapter 8

P.O.V Tobias 

The interviews are a couple of days ago. In the meantime, we had some more trainings and some free time. We still had 2 days before we had to go to the arena. I have some ideas what to do during the head training for getting a good score. I still have to impress Tris. I think I'm almost there. Just 1 good mark and I'm done. Around 4:00 PM the training will take place so I had a lot of free time. I went outside for some time. I went to the roof where I had some alone time. Some time to think about how it would be with Peter, how it would be with his parents. Even how it would be with mine. They are probably arguing now. They do that already since I can remember. I went at 1:00 PM down to our apartment to have lunch. Johanna asked what our plans were for the training. I told her that I was probably gonna do something with weapons. Jeanine didn't know it yet. 

At 12:50 PM we went to the hall so we would be on time. As in really good on time. and we were because the only ones that were there were careers. I went talking to Al, I saw that he was really nervous. His hands were really sweating. around 3:15 Tris and Zeke walked through the doors. Tris was in a really good mood and she walked to us and said:'' Well Tobias, you still have 2 days to impress me. So I wish you luck with the scores.'' I thanked her, but I knew I would impress her. 

At 4:00 Pm exactly the male tribute from District 1 went to the hall where it would happen. After some time it was my turn. When I was at the front I said my name and district and I went to the weapons, my strength. I grabbed some knives and the first throw I had was really good. I even had enough confidence to do it blind and backwards. Then I picked an axe and threw it backwards. I've practised with those since I'm 4 years old. My dad learned it to me. That's why I know this good. There were also some poles. I decided to climb in the smoothest to show that I'm strong and that I have a firm grip. I climbed until I couldn't come higher. I had a knife in my pocket and threw it at a dummy. It went really good. Some sponsors clapped. My 5 minutes were over. I thanked them for their attention and went to the exit door. When all the tributes were finished everyone was allowed to go back to their apartments. I didn't have the time to talk to Tris. When we arrived in the apartment Johanna asked us how it went Jeanine started telling loads of things about hers. She did something with camouflage and survival skills. Then Johanna asked about mine I told simply:'' It went pretty good I think.'' Then we had dinner. Around 7:00 PM we started the tv and watched the show. Caesar started really fast with the points. Al, his had a 10. I think that's really normal for a career. Then it was my turn. My score was unbelievable. I had a  10!! Johanna congratulated me. She told me that I scored higher than hers. She had a 9. I was really proud and thought of Tris, would she be finally impressed? Then it was Jeanine her turn. She had a 7, she was still really proud on herself. Then it was the turn for district 10. Zeke had a 7. Then it was Tris her turn. She had a 9! That's really good for her. I wondered what she did. The show finished at 8:00 PM I took a short shower and went to bed.
