Chapter 4

P.O.V Tobias 

I packed my stuff pretty fast and went outside the train. The first thing I saw were light. Light as in flashlights. The capitol people seemed interested in us. We got taken by guardians to a car. The car would bring us to the building where we would sleep, eat and train for the upcoming days. When we got taken inside we were split and we would get some makeover or something. My pep team came. It wasn't really a team. It was just one person. He looked really ridiculous. His name is Flavius. He had this huge wig. It was like all the colours of the rainbow and he wore lenses. Purple I think it was. He started waxing my legs. Why? I always saw in the arena that the boys still had their leg hair and some had stubble beard. But okay. He let my stubble beard what it was. Flavius did some gel in my hair. Gave me a tux that looked pretty much like a tree. I looked now also ridiculous. 

When I saw Jeanine again she looked like me, like a tree. She had this long dress with as belt leafs. When we waited backstage for the parade I wanted to have my first impression with Al and Tris. First I went to Al. He seemed really nervous. I calmed him, I think he really liked me. When I wanted to ask him or we could be allies he was me first. He asked it. I said'' yea, sure.'' Nice. 1 done. 1 to go. I think Tris was harder to impress. And I was true. When I walked to her she seemed really busy with the horse before her car. I kinda knew how to impress a girl so I started introducing myself, my name age and or I was reaped or that I volunteered. Tris started introducing herself too. I listened like I didn't know the stuff she just told me. Then I went to the flirting technics and said: ''Wait? Did you got reaped? Why would someone see your pretty face got to fight off in the arena?'' She answered with:'' Tobias, I'm not that fast impressed, but I'm way stronger than you probably think.'' I was pretty impressed by her.  ''Okay 10, Let's make an agreement. If I get to impress you before we go into the arena. In every way possible, we got to be allies with 2.'' She agreed. I know I had to do a lot more than talking to impress her.  I had 5 days to impress her. When I went to the car of our district I saw that Jeanine was talking with the boy from district 10. When we stepped in our horse cars Jeanine said one sentence to me:''Hey handsome. you ready?'' I answered:''I'm ready'' I didn't answered on the 'hey handsome thing' the horses started to walk. 

When we got through the doors we saw millions of people. I think minimal half of them were sponsors. So I started smiling. Something I don't do often, but sponsors are really important. They can give you food or medicines when you need them the most! I saw some girls from around my ages I think they were and they started fake fainting, why? and many people started throwing flowers. I turned around for a couple of seconds to see Tris she was smiling too, but I don't think she felt that the boy from her district took her hand. I turned around again and started waving. It felt weird that most of these people wanted seeing me dying or something. 

When the horses stopped at the end of the way we saw the president. He had some small speech prepared. I didn't really listen. I never really like president Snow. Some say that he started the district plan. When he finished the speech we got riden backstage again. At the moment I stepped out of our car and Johanna walked to us I heard someone screaming pretty hard. I turned to the voice. It was Tris, she was screaming at her district mate his name turned out to be Zeke. I wanted to go and calm her, but Johanna stopped me and her capitol person calmed her already. She stopped screaming, but she was still pretty mad. I knew I had to impress Tris because Al and I needed this girl in our ally. 

When we got to the apartments I saw that they were like huge!! and these were only for 3/4 persons! I saw people standing in every corner. Avox I think they were. I was right because they didn't say a single word.  We had dinner. I ate as much as I could, it was still like a lot! Then I went to my bedroom to have a shower. On the shower, there were like 15 buttons. I tried to make the shower like 38 celsius, but it went from ice cold to fury hot. I heard the music it came also from the shower, what did I do? After 3 minutes the temperature was good and the music was off.  After the shower, I went to bed. I saw a remote control at the bed. It was for the light switch, colour of light and for the window sight. I chose to sleep in the forest. It kind of looked like home. I liked it before I fell asleep I thought of some tactics to impress Tris. I had some ideas, but I wasn't sure or they would work, but I'll see that.
