Chapter 12 ~ Date Night

Laura's Pov

I woke up a few hours later and G was asleep next to me. I rubbed my belly a little bit and of course my little nugget was kicking. She is a very active little bean in there. She only started kicking a few days ago, but since then, it's been nonstop.

About half an hour later, G woke up and put his hand over mine. "Did my princess let you get some sleep?"

"Yes. She did." "So. I was thinking. Maybe we should ya know. Go on a date."

I looked up at him and said, "We should. But when and where?" "How about tonight, and I'll surprise you."

"Do I need to dress fancy for this?" "Nope. Just dress comfy."

"Okay." "I'm excited for tonight."

"Me too. But I'm hungry. So can we go downstairs and get some food?" "Sure Babe."

We went downstairs and went in the kitchen. I sat at the counter and G made me some Mac and Cheese. After I ate that, we went in the living room and I noticed all the guys were gone. Me and G sat on the couch and he said, "It's peaceful without them." I nodded.

I laid my head on his chest and said, "So. This date tonight. Did you run it by Jack?" "Well. Not exactly. But you're 18. And Jack trusts me. I'm sure he'll be fine."

"If you say so." "I do." I

"And what if he doesn't let me go?" "That won't happen. Because he trusts me with you."

"Does he though?" "Yes. He knows I'll protect you."

"Alright. Whatever you say." "I'm right babe."

Jack came downstairs and said, "What are you right about G?" G said, "That you trust me to take Laura out on a date tonight."

"I mean. Yeah. I trust you." I said, "Who would've thunk?"

G said, "Me. Because I know your brother trusts me." "Yeah. Okay babe."

He put his hand on my stomach and said, "You already know that your brother trusts me." "Yes. He does. I have no clue why tho."

Jack said, "He's my best friend. I have no reason not to trust him." "Yes bubba. These are the things we know."

G said, "So. Can we talk about names now?" "I don't understand why you're so excited to pick a name."

"Because. I have a really good one in mind." "Okay. Then what is it."

"Jaqueline Rose." "You really want her to be called Jacky."

"I mean. That's not my favorite. But it was worth a shot." "Then tell me your favorite."

"Liliana Rose." "That's pretty."

"Do you have any names in mind?" "I was thinking Samantha Lynne."

"That's cute baby." Jack said, "Do I get a say in names?"

"Um. No." "But why not?"

"Because. I said so. Maybe on the day she's born if you look at her and a name pops in your head, I'll consider it." "Fine. I guess that's fair."

"It is." G rubbed my belly and she started to kick his hand.

"She must really like you G." "Who can say I'm surprised?"

I elbowed him and said, "Shut up." He kissed me and said, "I'm kidding baby."

I got off his lap and said, "I'm gonna go get ready." He nodded and I went upstairs.

I sat on my bed and tried to decide what to wear. I didn't even know where we were going but G said to dress comfortably. I went in my closet and started to see what was comfortable but also cute. I mean. Since I'm four months pregnant, I don't fit into some of my old clothes. But that doesn't mean I didn't buy cute bigger ones.

After about 20 minutes I finally found the perfect outfit. I put it on my bed and went over to my vanity. I curled my hair and did my makeup. I got dressed and put on a pair of tan wedges. I grabbed my phone and went downstairs. As soon as G saw me, his jaw dropped. "Oh wow. Baby. You look amazing." I

"Thank you baby." Jack said, "Aw little sister. You're so grown up. You two be safe tonight."

"We will." G grabbed my hand and we went out to the car. He opened my door for me and I got in. He got in and then started driving.

"So baby. Where are we going?" "You'll see."

"You know I don't like surprises." He grabbed my hand and said, "You'll love it. I promise."

"I better." "You will."

Before I knew it we pulled up outside a beautiful restaurant. "G. I feel underdressed."

"You're not." He got out and opened my door for me. I got out and he grabbed my hand. We went inside and got a table.

I started to look through the menu and G said, "Get whatever you like baby." I smiled at him and said, "I'm just trying to find something that little nugget would like."

"Is there anything you know she wouldn't like?" I shook my head.

"Well. I've been told that they have some pretty good veggie burgers here. I know those are your favorites." I nodded and said, "But I'm not supposed to be eating a lot of fried food."

"You can get a salad as your side. Or some kind of vegetable." I nodded.

"Are you feeling alright baby?" "Yeah."

"Okay. I'm just checking. You seem a little out of it." "I'm fine baby."

"I believe you." Soon the waitress came over and took our orders. We talked for a little while and then our food came. After we finished eating, G paid and we went out to the car. He grabbed my hand and said, "Are you up for a little walk in the park?"

"Yeah. That would be nice." He smiled at me and drove to our favorite park. We got out of the car and he grabbed my hand. We walked around the park for a little bit just talking and then we sat on a bench and talked some more.

G put his hand on my stomach and said, "I can't believe that in a few short months my little princess will be here." "I know. It's crazy. But thank you for being so supportive through all of this."

"You know I'll always be there for you." I smiled at him and put my hand on top of his.

"So um. Would you um maybe wanna make this official and be my girlfriend?" "I thought you'd never ask."

He leaned over and kissed me. I pulled out and we sat there for a little while longer. After a little bit we went back to the car. We drove back to the house and went inside.

Jack said, "How was your little date you two?" "It was great."

G said, "We made things official." Jack said, "That's cute."

I smiled at him and went upstairs with G. I changed into shorts and one of G's sweatshirts. I laid on the bed and he laid next to me.

"So. Can we start baby shopping?" "I mean. If you want. But I'm honestly not even sure what I wanna get."

"We can figure it out while we're shopping." "I've never seen someone so excited about a baby."

"You're my girlfriend. And that baby is going to be an angel. And I know she's not biologically mine, but I would love to act as her father." "I would love that too baby."

He kissed me and said, "I'm gonna give you and this baby the perfect life." "I love you."

"I love you more." He bent down to my belly and said, "I love you too my little princess."

He put his hand on my belly and she kicked it. I said, "I think she's saying she loves you too." I laid my head on his chest and soon I was asleep.
