Chapter 23 ~ Valentine's Day

Laura's Pov

I woke up the next morning and Jack wasn't next to me. I looked over and Kindall wasn't in her bassinet. I went downstairs and saw Jack in the kitchen.

"Babe. Where's Kindall?" "Hayden came and picked her up."

"Why didn't you wake me up?" "Because you need your sleep whenever you can get it. She'll be fine with Hayden."

I nodded. He said, "I didn't mean to upset you."

"No. It's fine. It's just my hormones. I'm just attached to her and I've really gotten into a routine." "You'll have her back tomorrow afternoon, Okay baby?"

I nodded. JJ came downstairs and said, "Are you still mad at me?"

"No bubba. I'm not mad anymore." "Thank god."

"Just don't fucking hurt her." "I won't."

"Okay. I'm gonna go for a run." Jack said, "You haven't had breakfast yet."

"I'll eat when I get back." He rolled his eyes and I went upstairs.

I changed into a sports bra and athletic shorts. I put my hair up in a ponytail and put my nikes on. I grabbed my phone and went downstairs. I kissed Jack and started my run.

I ran a few miles and then decided to stop at Hayden's just so I could see my baby. I went inside and said, "Fluffy!"

He came out of the kitchen and said, "You're not supposed to be here. You're supposed to be getting ready." "I was on a run and you took her without letting me say goodbye. So I just wanted to see her."

"Fine. But you can't stay long." "I know."

I went in the kitchen with him and saw my baby girl was in her bouncer. I picked her up and said, "Mama's missed her baby girl."

"It's only been a few hours Laura." "I don't like being away from her."

"It's only until tomorrow afternoon. Enjoy yourself tonight. Have some fun. Get laid." "Hayden."

"I'm serious. You just need to relax." "It's hard to relax when i find out Sarah and JJ are going on a date tonight."

"No way." "Yeah. They're going on a date tonight."

"That's crazy." "I know."

He took Kindall from me and said, "You're stalling so you can spend more time with her. Go back home and get ready. I got this. I'm her godfather. She'll be fine. We're gonna have a fun time together."

He put her in her bouncer and said, "Just go. Please. I want you to relax and be carefree for a night. Consider this practice for your honeymoon. Because she is not going with you on your honeymoon." I kissed the top of Kindall's head and said, "Just please keep a close eye on her."

"I got it. Now go." I left and ran back to the house.

Jack said, "Jesus Babe. How many miles did you run?" "6."

"You really wanna get back to your pre baby weight, don't you?" I nodded.

He pulled me down on his lap and said, "You're beautiful no matter what baby girl." "Thank you baby. But I'm not doing it for you. I'm doing it for me. I worked really hard to get my body where it was before her. I had abs. I miss those."

"Just don't overdo it. I don't want to find you passed out somewhere." "I know my limits."

"Okay baby." "I'm gonna go take a shower. Care to join me?"
