Chapter 25 ~ Dress Shopping in NYC

Laura's Pov

*one month later*

So it's been about a month and Kindall is now a month and a half. Time is going by so quickly. We're actually in New York for a few days. I'm shopping for my wedding dress at Kleinfeld.

I'm so excited! Katherine was able to get an appointment for me. Jack and the boys are gonna be watching Kindall all day. And Katherine, Molly, Laura and Sierra are gonna be shopping with me. I wanted JJ to come. But he sucks at keeping secrets from Jack. So I don't wanna risk it.

We're also gonna have Hayden on FaceTime because he wasn't able to fly out, but I wanted him to be a part of the process. Katherine and David are paying for my dress and I couldn't be more thankful.

I kept trying to tell them I could pay for it, but they wouldn't budge. So here we are. We're at the hotel right now and we need to leave but I'm not ready to leave Kindall. Jack said, "Babe. Go. She'll be fine. We got this. Go enjoy yourself. This day is supposed to be all about you. Go find your perfect dress."

I handed Kindall to him and kissed the top of her head. He said, "I'll see you when you get back, Okay?"

I nodded and he kissed me. "I love you." "I love you too."

I grabbed my stuff and left with the girls. We were actually within walking distance of Kleinfeld which was nice. We checked in for our appointment and they told us we could browse and our stylist would find us. We started browsing and it was a little weird because we had cameras around us.

Sierra said, "I remember shopping for my wedding dress. I know it wasn't long ago. But it was such a magical day." "Did you have Cam there?"

"I did. Surprisingly, he got more emotional than my mom did." "Cam's always been a sappy one."

"That he has. Is he invited to the wedding?" "Yeah. Me and him are back on really good terms."

"Good. I was a little worried. I know he can be stubborn. So I wouldn't blame you for not inviting him." "No. He's definitely invited."

She nodded and we kept looking. Our stylist came over to us and said, "Hi y'all. My name is Brandi. I'm gonna be helping y'all out today. Who is our lovely bride?" "That would be me."

"Alright sweetie. So what are we looking for today?" "I honestly have no clue. I'm kind of just letting my bridesmaids and future mother in law choose."

"Alright. And what's our budget?" Katherine said, "No budget. I just want her to have the perfect dress and feel amazing on her wedding day."

"So tell me about your fiancé." "My fiancé Jack has been my best friend since we were little. He's always been there for me and back then he was like a big brother. He started off as my big brother's best friend and once I was old enough to play with them, he became my best friend too. He's an amazing father to our baby girl, even though she isn't biologically his. I just always know I can count on him and he'll always be there for me. Falling in love with him was easy, but admitting it, that was the hard part. He's helped me through so much in the time we've known each other and he has never run away. He's truly my angel and i love him more than anything."

"That's so sweet. So you guys pick a few dresses and I'm gonna pick a few for her and then we'll go back to the dressing room and start trying things on."

After a little bit everyone had their dresses picked out and I was back in the dressing room. Brandi said, "Alright sweetie. So I'm gonna be honest. This is gonna take a while. But we're going to do everything we can to find the perfect dress for you."
