Chapter 16 ~ Family Time

Laura's Pov

I woke up a few hours later to Kindall crying. I picked her up and fed her. I burped her and changed her diaper. She was still a little fussy so I took her downstairs and sat on the couch with her. I rocked her a little bit and she started to calm down. Soon she was back asleep.

I laid her in her bouncer and I laid down on the couch. I really didn't have the energy to go back upstairs. I turned the tv on and got a blanket. I watched TV for a little bit and soon I was asleep again. I woke up the next morning and Kindall was still asleep. I really didn't feel like getting up so I just laid on the couch.

Soon Kindall woke up and started crying. I picked her up and fed her. Then I burped her and took her upstairs. I went in her room and changed her diaper. I swaddled her and took her back downstairs. I sat on the couch with her and watched tv. Soon Jack came downstairs and sat next to me.

He took Kindall from me and said, "Good morning beautiful." Then he looked down at Kindall and said, "Good morning baby girl."

"Good morning baby." "Did you sleep down here?"

"Yeah. She was really fussy when she woke up at around 3 and I didn't want to wake you up so I brought her down here." "My mom's plane is gonna get here at 12."

I nodded and laid my head on his shoulder. We sat there talking for a little bit and soon J came downstairs. "Good morning baby sister."

"Good morning bubba." "Was my precious niece good last night?"

"Yes bubba. She was good." "Good. Now I'm going to make breakfast for all of us. I feel like my baby sister deserves a nice treat."

"Just try not to destroy the kitchen." He nodded and went in the kitchen.

Jack said, "So are we all going to pick up my mom?" "We can."

"Do you want to just have brunch with my mom after we pick her up?" "Works for me."

"Alright. Well if you wanna go get ready, I can watch little miss." "Are you sure?"

"Yeah. You go get yourself all pretty." I kissed him and said, "I'll try to make it quick so you can shower."

JJ came back in the living room and said, "I'll watch her. You two go get ready." I grabbed Jack's hand and dragged him upstairs.

"Is this heading where I think it is?" "Maybe."

"This is exciting." "Let's go get ourselves showered."

"Whatever you say baby." I pulled him into the bathroom and we both got in the shower. After our shower we both got dressed. I went downstairs and took Kindall from JJ.

"I'm guessing it's almost time for her to feed." "You're guessing right."

I took her upstairs and fed her. I burped her and then laid her in her bassinet. I went over to my vanity and did my makeup. After my makeup was done, I threw my hair up in a messy bun and laid on the bed.

Jack sat next to me and said, "So. I know we just got engaged. But do you have any wedding ideas in mind?" "I have some things. But I'm guessing since you're asking that you have some things in mind."

"Well. Yeah. I always have things in mind. I want this wedding to be perfect." "Well. What did you have in mind?"

"Well. I have ideas for the wedding parties." "Really?"

He nodded and said, "Well. You already know I want your brother to be my best man." "This is a fact we've known my whole life."

"Do you know who you want as your maid of honor?" "I was thinking Molly. But obviously Laura would still be a bridesmaid."
