Chapter 29 ~ Moving Day

Laura's Pov

*3 months later*

Well, it's been three, almost four, months since the wedding, and Jack and I are moving into our own house. Don't get me wrong, we love living with JJ, but we need a house of our own. JJ is keeping the house and hoping that one day him and Sarah will live there together and start their family.

Once we officially move out JJ is going to repaint Kindall's room and make it another guest room. He told me that my room would be there for me as long as he doesn't need it for a future child of his. It's gonna be weird not living with JJ anymore, but I know that it's time.

Hayden's watching Kindall right now so we can get things moved into the new house without having to worry about keeping her safe and occupied. We have most of the stuff moved in, with the help of the movers. Everything is in the room it belongs in, and all that's left to do is unpack it.

JJ and Sarah are unpacking the things downstairs, and me and Jack are up unpacking the rooms upstairs. We were unpacking our room, when he pulled me down on the bed.

"Babe. What are you doing?" "I want cuddles Laura."

"We can cuddle once we finish unpacking and have both showered." "You're no fun."

"Jack. C'mon. I don't want Kindall to have to spend the night at Hayden's because we didn't finish unpacking." "Fine. We can finish unpacking."

We both got off of the bed and unpacked our room. Once we finished unpacking everything in our room, we went and unpacked Kindall's room.

By 9pm, everything was unpacked and in its place. We said bye to JJ and Sarah, and went to pick up Kindall.

Once we got to Hayden's house, we went inside and I saw Kindall and Hayden laying on the couch asleep. I picked Kindall up off of Hayden's chest and nudged Hayden a little bit.

"Hayden, go to bed. I got Kindall." He sat up and said, "She was well behaved today."

"It's just like you said, she loves her godfather. She'll always behave for you." "I told you from the day we found out about her, that I would be her favorite."

I rolled my eyes and said, "Yes Hayden. You told me." "Okay. I can see y'all are tired. Go home and sleep in your new house."

"Good night Hayden. Thanks again for watching her." He nodded and we left.

We went back to the house and I got Kindal changed. I laid her in her crib and walked out of the room. As soon as I walked into Jack and I's room, he pulled me down on the bed.

"Baby. What are you doing?" "I just wanna snuggle baby girl. We haven't gotten to all day. I just want my beautiful wife in my arms."

"You're such a dork. But I really wanna take a shower before I go to bed." He smirked at me and said, "I should probably shower too. Wanna save water?"

I rolled my eyes and said, "You think you're slick, don't you?" He shrugged and said, "I'm your husband, I don't have to be slick."

"Just c'mon baby. We need to be quick in case Kindall wakes up." "I'm sure she'll be fine, baby. She's eight months old. She sleeps through the night now."

"Not every night. She's still sleep training." I grabbed the baby monitor and we went into the bathroom. After we finished our shower, we got dressed and laid on the bed. As soon as I was about to fall asleep, Kindall started crying.

I went into her room and took her out of her crib. "What's wrong baby girl?" I bounced her a little bit and she started to calm down. I laid her on the changing table and changed her diaper. She was still pretty fussy, so I decided to just take her into Jack and I's room.

I laid on the bed with her and Jack said, "What's wrong with her?" "I think it's just because we're in an unusual place. She'll get used to it after a few nights."

"Whatever you say baby." I got Kindall situated, but she still wasn't going to sleep. Jack said, "I'll go make her a bottle."

"Thank you baby." He went downstairs and soon came back with a bottle.

I started to feed Kindall and she started to relax. Once she finished her bottle, I burped her and put her back between Jack and I. I put her pacifier in her mouth and it didn't take long for her to fall asleep.

Jack said, "Now that she's asleep. It's time for both of us to get some sleep." He kissed the top of my head and soon we were asleep.
