I Found You

Chapter 12

*The day before spring break*

I wake up way too early. We are all supposed to sleep at Jordan's tonight since our flight leaves at 5:00 am, and we should be in Halifax by 11:00. By the time I take a shower, have a coffee while I eat my breakfast, and finish packing the last few things I need for the trip its only 12:00. By this time tomorrow, I will be in Halifax. Me, Lacy and Jade found a few apartments that we like and were in our price range, and have sent up meetings with the landlords. We also plan on looking for more when we get there, hopefully, someone will be willing to hold the apartment for us. We have decided we are leaving to move to Halifax on September 1st one week before classes start. Also, the day after Brad's birthday. I decide to call Jordan and see if I can go over early since I have nothing better to do. He said its fine, so I say goodbye to my mom, my dad, and Lex grab my bags and head out the door. This is my first-time leaving Ontario without my parents. I'm an adult I shouldn't be this nervous about traveling without my parents.

When I pull up in front of Jordan's house, he is waiting outside for me. He helps me move my bags from my can to his mom's new van than we go inside. "Hey, Logan you excited to see Halifax," John asks. "Very!" I reply. Jordan's oldest brother Will agreed to show us around the campus, even though I already got a video tour from Mike and Alex. I wonder how Mike and Alex feel about having a bunch of people staying with them for a week. "Logan are you hungry?" I hear Laura calling for the kitchen pulling me from my thoughts. "Yes please." I love Laura's cooking; she always makes huge meals. My mom used to until she started working again. Jordan and I walk into the kitchen, Dani is sitting at the island talking to her mom while she cooks. "Hey, Dani," I say when we walking. "Logan you're finally here! I remembered last night that I should warn you there is a lot of pictures of Jordan up in our old house and brace yourself he was not cute. I just wanted to warn you before you saw for yourself because I really like you and I want you as a sister one day." Jade says while she laughs, Jordan's face turns to beat red, which makes me laugh.

By the time we finish lunch everyone is here. Laura and John go over the rules with us again, to ensure we didn't forget, and then we head down to the basement. "I hate how they always look at me when they say no sex, you two have had sex too," Dani says and everyone mouths drop including mine. I have no idea that Jordan had told her, and I haven't told anyone besides Lex. I only told Lex because she caught me crying in my car. Dani notices the look on everyone's face and realizes no one knew. "Okay, I can't speak for Lacy but as your other best friend, I want to know why I wasn't told about this" Jade says, and Lacy agrees. "Well, I wasn't telling anyone, I didn't know if Jordan was comfortable with me sharing our private life," I say trying to defend myself. Honestly, I'm not sure why I didn't tell them. Probably because by the time me and Jordan talked about it, I had forgotten that I didn't tell them. "So, everyone but me is having sex. GREAT!" Brad says trying to lighten the mood, everyone but Lacy laughs she just looks embarrassed. Then the attention goes back to me and Jordan. Jade wants to know everything. Jordan and Brad leave the room so I can inform my nosey friends. I tell them it happened on my birthday after they all fell asleep, and that it only happened once. After I finish telling them everything, I text Jordan * They're all caught up you guys can come back down now* When Jordan and Brad come down, they tell us supper is ready. As we walk up the stairs I whisper into Jordan's ear "I'm so sorry" "It's okay baby" He says with a smile.

While we eat, Laura and John tell us we are allowed to all sleep in the basement if we want but we got to go to bed early, we have to be up at 1:30 am and leave the house by 2:00 am so we can check in to the airport for 3:00. When we are done eating Dani says we should go to the basement and watch a movie and try to go to bed. It's only 7:00 pm. Laura and John agree and we head downstairs.
