            *May*

I wake up to the sound of my phone ringing. It's way to early to be up on a Saturday. I spent half the night on the phone with Jade and Lacy. Jade's grandma was being rude about Jade being a lesbian so she was crying almost all night and Lacy and I were trying to make her feel better. I answer my phone "Hello" I say, I forgot to see who was calling. "Hey, baby can you come over?" It's Jordan. "Yeah is everything okay?" I'm wide awake now. "Yeah I got a letter from Dalhousie and I want you to be here when I open it." He says. Without saying goodbye, I hang up the phone and rush out the door. I am just as excited to find out if he got in as I was to find out if I got it.

I get to his house realizing I should have gotten dressed before I left. I knock on the door. Laura doesn't even say hi before she grabs my arm and pulls me inside. "Okay Jordan, Logan's here now open it," Laura says as she pulls me down the hall to the living room. Jordan laughs as he opens the package. He stares at it for way too long keeping us waiting. "I got it." He says very nonchalantly. Laura and I jump up and down with excitement and I throw my arms around his neck and kiss him, not even thinking about the fact that his parents are in the room.

"Let's go out for lunch" Laura says. Is it really lunchtime already? "Um I'll have to go home and change," I say and gestor to my body and still has unicorn pajamas covering it. "Dani can lead you something, I'm too excited to wait," Laura says. Dani and I head to her room. "You okay with wearing a dress or shorts no way my pants are going to fit you. I'm way shorter than you." Dani says when we get to her room. I tell her it's fine and she hands me a light-yellow sundress and a cardigan to go over the top.

We all pile into their car and head out for lunch. The whole lunch he keeps telling us that it's not a big deal. But it is a big deal. He got into Dalhousie. His dad got his Ph.D. there, all his brothers have gone there. I'm going there, we get to go to college together.

When we finish lunch, he asks me to spend the day with him. I say yes of course. We drive to the waterfall where he declared his love for me after my birthday party. We hike up the side of the waterfall up to the top. "The view from the top is amazing" Jordan tells me and I believe him, I just wish I would have changed out of Dani's dress before we came here. When we get to the top we stand on the edge and look down at the water. The way the sun hits the water it turns it an orange color it is beautiful. When I go to turn around to talk to Jordan, he's on one knee holding a ring.

"Logan, I love you more than I can put in words. You're beautiful, smart, and funny all in one. You are the easiest person to talk to and I know I can always be myself when I'm with you. You are my best friend. You stuck with me Through a time when most people would have left. I promised I would spend the rest of my life making it up to you. I know we are young so if you say yes, we don't have to get married right away, and even asked your dad and he's okay with it as long as you finish college. So, Logan Penelope Hills, will you marry me?

My head is spinning I can't believe what is happening. I say yes as the tears brim my eyes. Jordan smiles ear to ear. Just like a movie he picks me up and spins me around. I thought the day I got my acceptance letter was the happiest day of my life. I was wrong this is the happiest day of my life. Nothing will ever compare to the way I feel right now.

When we walk back to the car, I can't stop looking at my ring. "So, my dad knows you were going to do this?" I asked still looking at my ring. "Yeah I asked if I could marry you a few days after we got back from Halifax." Jordan says "I planned on doing it today even before I got my Dalhousie letter, that why it was hard to get excited." He adds. "How many people know?" I ask. "Your family and mine, Lacy, and Jade." "Wait Lacy and Jade know?" How could they keep this from me? "Yeah they helped me pick out your ring right after your dad gave me his blessings," Jordan says with a smile.

We drive to my house. "Can I come in for a bit?" He asks. That's odd, he doesn't usually ask to come in. "CONGRATULATIONS!" all our friends and family say as soon as we walk through the door. "Well this would have been awkward if I would have said no" I joke. "Jordan texted us and told us you said yes" Lex informs me. Everyone takes turns looking at my ring even though some of them I know have already seen it. After more congratulations and Lacy, Jade, and Lex fighting over who gets to be my maid of honor, everyone except Jordan leave. "So, since you and Jordan are engaged do you still plan on living with Jade and Lacy next year." My dad asks. "Yes, until me and Jordan are married," I answer. My answer doesn't seem to bug Jordan. "And when do you plan on getting married." My dad asks. "After college." Jordan answers.

"Dr. Hills, would it be okay if Logan spent the night at my house?" Jordan asks as he's getting ready to leave. "If Logan wants to its fine with me." My dad says "And I think it's okay for you to call me Matt from now on." My dad adds. Jordan looks so surprised, I'm double surprised, one he gave me permission to sleep at his house, and he told Jordan to call him Matt. There are very few people who call my dad by his name. Most people call him Dr. Hills.

"I'm not going to lie I didn't think you would be allowed to sleepover," Jordan says. "If we are being honest, I didn't either," I say with a laugh. "So, are you and Dani trying places again tonight?" I ask. "Nope, we are engaged, we are allowed to sleeping in the same bed." He answers. What?

We walk through the door and it's another round of congratulations. "Mike, Alex, Will, and Allison are coming down next weekend so they can celebrate with us," Laura says. This is a lot; we won't be getting married for a while but everyone is already acting differently. "Hey Sis," Dani says as she walks into the room and pats my back. "Technically, I won't be your sister for a few more years," I say jokingly. "If you can hang out that long" Dani whispers as she walks away.

Me and Jordan head up to his room. I have slept beside him many times now, but this time is different. It's weird when his parents know for some reason. "Want to watch a movie?" Jordan asks. I nod. He put on a horror movie about Zombies and we lay down, I put my head on his chest like always. The movie isn't as scary as I thought it would be, but no movie is after watching the one with the killer doll. Jordan offers to change it but I'm too comfortable. I fall asleep shortly after.

I next morning I wake up with my head still on his chest. "It's about time you wake up, its 10:30" Jordan says. Holy, we started watching the movie at 10:00 pm. I can't believe I slept for so long. I sit up, I didn't even change into my pajamas. I grab some new clothes out of my backpack and try to walk out the door. "Where are you going?" Jordan asks. "To get changed" I say. "You can't change in here?" Jordan asks. Most definitely not. I shake my head and laugh then walk to the bathroom. I know I should feel more comfortable changing in front of him but I'm not.

After I'm in new clothes I leave Dani's dress on her bed and head downstairs. Jordan is already in the kitchen talking to his family I get there. They catch me smiling at them. "What?" Laura asks. "Nothing you guys are just a really awesome family," I answer truthfully, I watch them all the time I have never met a family as close as them. "Well you are a part of our family now too you know," Laura says as she put her arm over my shoulder. I feel tear starting to brim my eyes, they are the sweetest people I have ever met, Dani was right I don't want to wait until I'm done college before we get married.

Later that day, on the ride home I break the news. "I don't want to wait until after college," I say. "Don't want to wait until after college for what, wait do you mean you don't want to wait to get married," Jordan asks. I nod "Maybe next summer?" I suggest. "Whenever you want baby, but don't tell Dani until you're ready to start planning because she will want to help. Remember what she did for your birthday, just think about what she will do for a wedding." Jordan says with a laugh.

I mentally go over all the details we have to work out in order to get married. Most importantly where? Nova Scotia or Ontario.
